Guyz,

For some reason whenever I submit a comment on any Drupal site with a link to one of my sites I get the message stated above. Strangely, this only occurs for one of my sites. When I link to other sites the comments are accepted.

This site that triggers the filter has a long domain name and it is in the health niche. I have tried everything: increased the length of my comments, changed the anchor text, changed the postion of the link in the comment and still... it sets of the spam filter.

Does anyone know how to bypass this filter?

    Have you tried a URL shortener such as bit.ly to see if a comment would work?

      Yeah, I tried using bit.ly and even that triggered the filter. I might have to try another shortner or I might have to purchase another domain and redirect it to that site.

      I think there is a word in my domain that is considered a "bad word". I just viewed this list of words that trigger spam filters and mine is right up there

      UPDATE: Okay, I tried the bit.ly shortner again but this time I removed the "bad word" completely from my anchor text and the comment went through.

    Drupal uses centralized spam filter that shares knowledge with a centralized database and once it trigger a spam it will always trigger the same URL/Anchor (And IP sometimes).

    Sometimes URL shortness are also being triggered as spam. Another solution is than you may use some other pages/Domains and 301 redirect it to your URL.

      I also thought it might be that my site was flagged or something but that wasn't the problem. I tried submitting comments using other domain names with the "bad phrases" in them and that also triggered the filters. The words in my domain and the anchors I was using was the problem.

      I used a URL shortner and I changed the anchors and the comments are going through now.

        I found with Drupal you can see either of the following;

        1, Keyword in url banned and keyword in anchor text
        2, Anchor text banned

        If the keyword in the url is ok you can get away with putting a &nbsp; inbetween the affected words but you will need to test it out to find which ones they are.
