    Submitting articles to article directory sites such as ezine articles allows you to get link backs to your website. In most article directories you can submit your own article with inserted anchor text links to your own site which contain keywords you wish to rank for.

    See, articles are taking a backseat when it comes to influence your SERP rankings.

    After Panda update article directories lost their dominance on search results, though many of them are catching up again.

    Instead, you can try with blogging... It is far more effective technique than article submission / marketing.

Other website promoters would say that they still have this link building technique at their arsenal. You should try it out to see how it works for your website's rankings. Still, make sure you diversify your link-building efforts, and use other methods as well.

    With a limited budget, I'd recommend SPLITTING the link base between articles and Web 2.0 blogs, instead of just depending HEAVILY on article links.
