How can i tell if people are hotlinking to my files on my site ? I'm looking at my stats package (urchin) and smoe things dont seem to add up , i think people are hotlinnking to my dowload files . Is there a way i can find out?

    I don't exactly know how to find out. However, if you are using any hosting control panel like CPanel or Plesk, it has the option to disable hotlinking. You may want to enable that asap.

    Hotlinking means that someone is using your bandwidth or data from other site. For example, creating a content on their site but downloading the file from your site. Another way is image hotlinking. Which means they load the image that is hosted in your server. So their server is not hosting any images and those images load at their site are using up your bandwidth instead of theirs. =D
