need opinions on this keyword research

Hello Warriors,

i have used Niche Market Finder for a keyword it consists of three words.
after analyzing it in NMF i got the result which i have attached with this post.

it gave only 15 links as competitor.
is that mean i have to compete with only these 15 domains?
the keyword have 12k+ local and global monthly searches.
and after searching the keyword like "keyword" it gave me result: About 228,000 results (0.20 seconds)

its cpc is: 13$ as per google adwords tool.

now after seeing these facts what do you say is this is the keyword anyone would like to go with targeting adsense.

i have just started doing these things, and its my first keyword i have researched for, so please give me a fair and logical reviews.
enlighten me with the positive and negative for this keyword. along with how much it will take to be on such position in search engine for making some revenue from it.(how much effort and time it will take to be on #1 on google.)

Your opinions will be really helpful for me.

    Many will disagree, but most keywords of the 12k caliber are worth doing at least to try. The entire internet seems flooded these days on almost any keyword so the way I see it, it's worth the shot.

    did you saw the attachment,
    most of the competitor sites are authority sites.
    would it be too tough to outrank them or it is attainable with hard work.
    also most imp thing EMD is not available.
    So please keep this point in mind also while commenting.

    Abhikala1, over 200K searches a month with limited competition is unlikely at best. I would strongly suggest you research your proposed keywords more carefully.
