Facebook Ads: Are they worth it?

I've recently dabbled a little with facebook ads because of how simple they are to use, the high level of targeting and the coupons available for free ad money.

I've had abysmal conversion rates, however, and was interested in seeing if anyone else had any positive outcomes? I keep seeing affiliate ads when I login myself, and I'm curious if they're making any money. FB charges really high CPC that really kill any potential profit margins.

I know there are other ways to use facebook, but I'd like to isolate and discuss facebook ads only for now. Thanks.

          I never had success with facebook ads,I personally would not recommend them to anyone.Google is a much better solution.

          LOL.Today I read in my local newspapers that facebook has the oldest member of all social networking sites.She is 102 years old.

                  TheBugz, I had a lot of trouble with that, too. Sometimes simply resubmitting them gets them approved. Why don't you post what your ad looks like and maybe I can help you figure out why it's not getting approved?
