Latent Semantic Indexing Algorithm(LSI) is a new technique of indexing the web pages which Google has applied recently. Let us understand the term LSI first, Latent means hidden, Semantic means meaning, and indexing means storing the page in database. So it is a technique through which Google analyze any new web page which is being clawed and thus checks it credibility. The drawback with the earlier method of indexing in which the keywords occurrence and page ranks were the factors was that many of the webmaster did keyword stuffing, excessive and unnecessary fixed keywords on the page, and thus made the page looks relevant. So thus the PR factor, taking some high quality back links, you can increase the PR.

Using statistical analysis, LSI can discover that documents have words which are often used in the same context. For example, "apple" and "computer" will also have "Mac OS" and are therefore also relevant. The same thing applies with "windows" as an operating system as opposed to an invention for looking through walls. It's all about trying to understand more about the nature and intent of the user query and returning information in context with the user's search, even when they give little clue as to the actual nature of the search. Incidentally, LSI is used by other search engines besides Google."

Thus, while writing blogs and articles, you should make your content works under a related theme of the topic, vary the anchor text and links text..
