How to Write Successful Facebook Ads?

Alright, so I am having a bit of trouble getting people to convert on my Facebook ads. I can get people to click no problem but the converting is what is hard.

I know that around 80% of the clicks are from the image, 15% are from the title, and 5% are from the paragraph, but how do you persway people?

What is the best way to write an ad to get someone to convert?

I usually run dating ads and I commonly used titles like "Want a Girlfriend," "Find Single Girls", or "Are You Lonely."

As for the body text I use something like

"Are you lonely? Browse pics, chat and meet singles in your area. Try the Be2 dating site! Register now for FREE!"

or

"Don't Pay for Personals! Meet and Chat with local Singles in your area. Registration is 100% FREE! Try the Be2 dating site now!"

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Well, first of all, dating is one of the most saturated niches on Facebook. You can bet that everyone in the targeted demo sees dating ads constantly.

Aside from focusing on the ad text, are you using a landing page or are you direct linking to the offer? Sounds to me like you need to dig deeper and try to find a sub-niche within the general dating demo. Like, latino dating, christian dating, etc etc. That way you can make a more interesting proposal than just the run-of-the-mill "Sign up here free and find a date" that they're probably dead tired of seeing.

I think the idea on facebook is to get them to "like" your fanpage so that you can market to them until the "unlike" you or convert. So step 1. Create a fan page, Step 2. create an Ad saying "Like us if you love...<insert what your selling>" Step 3. Post relevant things to your fanpage that people will respond to. Step 4. Profit!

No I am not running my own landing page, I am direct linking to the dating sites signup page or their landing page.

I don't run us dating ads, I run AU and UK for the most part.

    Hi Josh,

Just want to give you some feedback on the words you are using in the ads...I know about the online dating sites (don't make me say how - lol) for a few years and I can tell you as a "customer" I hate those types of ads. I don't want to be reminded that I'm "lonely" but the word "single" is not as offensive.

"Single? Great - so are we - join a community of like minded people in our free chat room."

"Wondering about online dating? Why not check out our free site and meet people in your area."

or you could inject a little humor

"Is your dating pool full of Piranhas? Check out our free dating site ..."

You get my drift. You need to seperate yourself from all those other ads. I see thousands of those ads all over the place and it's very few and far between that I will actually click thorugh them.

I did ads on FB for another business I had a few years ago in attempt to increase my customers and it worked - but the owners of the company didn't want their affiliates using Social Networking (only the big wigs could do that). It was one of "those MLM" companies where only the people at the top could make the money.

Funny thing was that I did get people to the site - but they couldn't confirm it was because I was using ads (even though I was the only one who seemed to know how to log onto FB).

    SO... that's my 2 cents!

Hope this helps you in some way.
