I really hate google. I'm trying to get my web site Russian Cities to top 3.
One day it decides "Oh, I'll bump this web site to top 5", the next day "Oh wait, I'll just put it on 3rd page", the next day "Oh I'll just take if off my SERP", next day "Oh I'll put it to top10" .... WTF ... make up your mind !!!!!!

Anyone else experience the same thing?

Are you building links like crazy?

A lot of new links will keep your site bouncing around the SERPs as Google tries to figure out your new SERP position.

Google is a multi-billion dollar company. Why do you think
      they owe you something?

Most likely, you are experiencing Google dance. Your site should gain momentum after a while you just have to be patient.

Haha, good point Paul. Google is far too big to care about one small business. Like, how easily can reach a Google rep for local places profile help, Adwords support, or google voice help? Not very easy. They have no accountability whatsoever and very little accountability for anyone who isn't a very big fish.

Well, that has been very, very successful....major point is that google looks out
      for themselves.

People think google takes them personally. Fat chance. Things there are done by
automated algorithms 99.999% of the time. Why people think SERPS should be
static and not dynamic is something I never get.

They have accountability to their visitors, shareholders, and paying customers. Not Joe Shmo

It's called the Google Dance and its just part of this game. Think of it this way... Google WILL eventually make up its mind where it'll slot you in the SERP's and for your sake you better hope its not on page 230.

Is the site new? Have you been building a lot of links? If you want to stabilize your site, do a couple of press releases. The Google dance will slow.

You're going to fail. If you're afraid of failure then you do not belong in the Internet Marketing Business. Period.

I am seeing the same thing. even if I build one link a day! it disappears.......to reappear and then disappear all over again. I see this with new sites, older sites..........and with sites that never used to bounce around this much! I hope we begin to settle in or figure out what is causing it!

I think they never do that. Might be your site did not meet the criteria to retrieve in 1st page. Cross check with your site statistics and shoot the first place.

Read the Google webmaster guidelines before you complain. Remember Google hates a site having a bunch of crappy links.

I'm always happy when I'm dancing with Google.
It makes me excited of where I'm going to end up. It's usually a good thing
unless you've been at a 1-10 position for an established time and find that your site is dancing to higher pages and even off the grid.

If your site is relatively new like mine, or your rankings are not in top 10, I'd be excited to be dancing with Google

Maybe your site is just crappy. There is no need to make a thread about this.

Keep in mind that many people who speak ill of Google "dissapear", just like Jimmy Hoffa. Happens all the time. Their websites dissapear also.

I love Google. Google is my friend. I am banned from Adwords for a good reason. Google knows what is good for me.

Not sure why you should hate Google. Or what did Google do to spark that hate. Things work a certain way and we can't do much about it.

What we can do our work, write good content and keep our link building campaigns natural. We build social relationships with other webmasters and so on. Those are the things we can do and control. No need to worry about the Big G, I can't control it nor I even try to understand it.
