I bought a product from Jan Roos (A warrior member) called PHYSICAL AFFILIATE. I built a website using a wordpress review theme that Jan had recommended and was apparently making money with. Basically the program is selling amazon products for a commission using that review theme Jan recommends. So here it is, The site has been live since December 2010 I have made some sales, but not on the actual products i'm advertising. I rank on first page of google for some keywords but the keyword I rank for does not get many monthly searches. How can I get more traffic/ and rank better for other keywords. I guess what i'm saying is what can i do to drive more targeted traffic to my site thats easy for a total newb. oh and the site I need help with is in my signature and yes this is my very first and only website I have done at the moment.

Thanks

    Hi JT!

Site looks nice! Are you doing any backlinking at all for your keywords? Or are you ranking due to the low competitiveness of your specific product keywords of your products?

to be totally honest I'm lost when it comes to getting backlinks, I have researched and tried some thngs like article submission and some other stuff but it didn't seem to work probably do to my lack of knowledge on how to do it. And i'm on the first page of google for a keyword that has only like 170 searches per month so it's not that much of an accomplishment. however their are other keywords that I could rank for that have high searches but i'm on like the 9th page of google for those keywords.

In addition to link building an ongoing program of content growth will help too, you could probably stray a bit from you main topic and still gain some benefit, a series on healthy work environments and ergonomics might be useful.

I like the look of your site. Did you get in on the same thing that Michael has in his signature? Looks like he could definitely help you out with his expertise on Amazon Associates. I definitely agree with the backlinking. Have you considered putting out some articles using pretty much the same writeups?

As I explained before I'm not sure how to get the backlinks. Also I am doing the leg work I get about 25 -30 visitors a month organically and I have made some sales just not for the product i'm advertising, they end up buying a completely unrelated product which is fine by me. I use a wordpress review theme with some seo plugins.

cheapskate - ScrapeBox would probably be the easiest way. It'll probably take 2 days or so getting used to that program if you do decide to buy it. What it does is harvest wordpress blogs url all over the net. It allow you to backlink on every wordpress blog you find in a click of a button.

You could find youtube videos of it and check it out.

By the way you should fix your sig. Change "http://leatherofficechairreviews.com" to <a href="enter url here">Need A Comfortable Office Chair</a>

You're trying to rank for "Need A Comfortable Office Chair", correct?

    Hey man,

Jan explains how to build links (and other SEO techniques) in his course. Don't stop after just building the site....follow through with the whole course. For each site, you need to: blog comment, profile link (start with Angela's backlinks), submit articles, build Hub Pages and Squidoo lenses and join related forums and put your site link in your sig.

It's a grind dude. Every morning, you should build about 5 links to your site before you do anything. If you don't want to, you'll have to pay someone in the Warriors For Hire section to do it for you. I personally do both.

    Good luck!

I didn't buy the course that goes more indepth. I bought Jans physical affiliate, and doesn't say much about backlinking. I do understand what it is, but some of the ezines and hubpages that I have written do not seem to provide backlinks as a matter of fact I don't have any backlinks. I will continue to do research and learn as i go. But any help is greatly appreciated. thanks again guys for all the help.

Your site doesn't really have much of a call to action.

While it looks great and the products are all good, you also need to RANK for those product keywords and other product keywords that actually GET TRAFFIC.

Next, you need a good SEO service to do all the backlinking for you.

You can do this yourself, but as you are confused about what a backlink is, you would be better off outsourcing this so that your time can be better spent creating more reviews and working ON your business, not IN it.

If you need help in keyword selection and ranking send me a message and check out my current WSO (signature). I have worked with and monetized lots of Amazon aff sites.

    Cheers,

To make money with affiliate websites, you need strong emotional keywords, I call that problem / solution & buying keywords.

These keywords itself are very easy to convert as long as your article is providing some useful advice, and recommending the right product.

I didn't buy any other course besides the Phyisical Affiliate...I konw he doesn't go into crazy detail about backlinks, but he gives you some nice snippets of search strings you can use to find .edu and .gov blogs. Are you using these?

Also, if you're a War Room member, there are some great free WSOs that show you how to find high PR blogs for free (and quickly). Let me know if you need help finding some.

Not a problem, I remember when I was at your stage in link building, and wish someone game me a magic 5-step formula.

Here are my recommendations. Follow these steps EVERY DAY, and monitor your rankings using a free software like Traffic Travis or RankTracker.
        1. Write a detailed 500-700 word document around your topic and post it to Squidoo.com (sign up for a free account if you don't have one). Spice it up with some free images from sxc.hu and add a couple of backlinks to your site in the main body of text.
        2. Sign up to SocialADR (if you can afford a paid account, DO IT! Otherwise the free account will suffice for now) - Use this to point social links to your site AND your Squidoo Lens.
        3. Find blogs to comment on and comment on at least 5 blogs that look likely to accept your comment during the day. (I have written detailed instructions on effective high PR blog commenting which you can read here: http://www.warriorforum.com/blogs/da...u-domains.html )
        4. Write at least 10 forum posts in forums related to your niche with your link in the signature. A lot of forums require a minimum post-count before you can add a signature so ensure you take this into account.
        5. Work on adding more content to your website, concentrating on new keywords and fresh content.
Follow this step by step every single day (or as OFTEN as you can) and you will make some great progress on your keywords.

This is what I do before my site makes enough money to outsource and automate the entire process while adding more backlinking tactics to the mix.

Make your site likeable to both the human visitors and the SE crawlers. After that get hold of a decent link building plan and follow it real closely. Make sure your site is
optimized for the proper keywords that you want to rank for. Use all of the available HTML tags. Spin the content of our site around the web. Wait and keep a track of the traffic coming to your site. Hopefully you will be able to see results.
