Hey fellows,

i am currently trying to rank a client's site which shows the following code instead of the HTML-H1-Headings i am used to for good onpage SEO:

<div class="main_heading">...</div>

Would you recommend to change the code, or is Google able to interprete this code correctly as a heading and wheigh it accordingly?

Just curious...

Have a great day!

Post above mine doesn't make sense, yes google can read divs, but can it detect that it is a heading...

I really don't know myself, but div tags are notthe ideal solution for every heading, I would definitely be changing these to h tags to tighten the onpage seo.

    Cheers,
    Dave!

    Thanks, John and Dave!

I will have to research, if there is a way to combine h-Tags and div-Tags... My coding skills are limited, yet.

Maybe i will simply try to add the h1-Tag inside the div-class "main_heading"...

    Will see.
