When you enter you website url in google map. you should enter your main keywords with that. For example :- webcreations (web designing Ludhiana, Punjab India).

In that case you would want your site to show up in the maps results as well when a user searches for similar products or services in your area. For this purpose you can always submit your site to local businesses listings and provide them with some simple information like your address, url, nature of business and a contact number. Once your listing gets approved you can cpture the local listing area as well and your site will show up in Google maps.

Instead of just links, Google Places looks at "web references" which means you should have your business listed in other related directories (Yelp, Yahoo Listings, etc.) with the SAME phone number, address, business name, etc.
