Hi,

Please help....

I have 1 website that I have been trying to rank for sometime; my backlink profile blows my competitors out of the way.

But I think that it is coming down to my on page SEO which is my weakest area of knowledge.

My Keyword has 33,100 exact matches each month
Top 5 competition seems beatable
409,000 competing pages if I put it in ""

Currently I am ranking between 6 & 7

I need someone who is a verterned pro at SEO, specifically On page.

I really need a bit of a mentor.

So far my website is ranked PR 0; but that should change

If you were to look at my website in SEO spyglass it would say that my top 9 do-follow links that link back are:

(1) PR6 - Permanently Purchased (HPBL)
(3) PR5 - Which I think I purchased as well (HPBL)
(4) PR3
(1) PR2

Plus a ton of High PR (no follow)

Over all it is a very high pr and diverse link profile

I will add some more permanent HPBL links as well to help provide a boost.
If anybody thinks that they can seriously provide me help, teach me what to do, and get me to #1; I would be so grateful.

I have a membership to BMR and BlogBlueprint that I have been using on this site on a consistent basis.

Anybody willing to please help me?? I am getting a bit discouraged

Thank you for the tips; those are things that I have focused on; however, I think my problem remains in the general link structure of the website.

For example, if you type in:

"How to flirt with a girl" - and you go to this website howtoflirtwithagirlnow.com/ - which has about 20 crappy backlinks and is a pretty weak content site that is outranking a ton of other sites - however, it looks very similar in structure to the site that is ranking number 1 in my search term.

I think I messed something up initially during the set up. When I just got started playing around with Internet Marketing, I bought Mass Money Makers, Ebook; and they said to make a html sqeeze page as your main page and then put your wordpress site a sub directory.

I think this messed it up as, all the comparable top ranking sites that I see are all strictly wordpress sites. Now I don't think I can make my homepage a wordpress site; (or at least I don't know how) because it would screw up all the linking pages.

Yea, I always build out my sites using Wordpress, I am not to fluent in HTML, and there are tons of plugins for Wordpress which make creating/ranking a site incredibly easier.

Will you be keeping this site for the long run, and is it a stable topic, or is it something which will die out in a year or so?

to be honest it seems like you got all the hard stuff done pretty well! And you already got position 6 - which id say is quite an achievment in its own...

The only suggestion I can make is to add new content regularly. And each time you add new content, follow it up by doing a link building campaign for that particular content.

Also, remember to add content targeting your LSI keywords too...

These techniques have worked wonders for me in difficult niches...

Thanks for the ideas; and encouragement; spot (7) does not help me out much because I am not making any money with it. I only get about 40 visitors a day, so until I can start making some money it is still a bit of a bummer.
