So one of our adsense accounts has been banned. A couple of Gs gone...crap.

After close inspection of all the sites we realized this :

1.) 2 of the sites did not have a privacy policy subpage.

2.) Some of the sites did not have the sidebar removed in the privacy policy page so adsense ads were showing.

3.,) Pictures in the CONTENT area were bordering the sidebar area with adsense in it (does this stil count as "pictures not next to ads area" eventhough they are related and in the code they are not "together" and also one is in the content the other in the sidebar area.

Maybe its all 3 maybe none of them.

We fixed all the issues but now tremble if there is still something else wrong. What do you guys think about the 1.2.3 ...

Thanx for your input

I'd say missing privacy policy, and the images next to sidebar ads could be the culprits.

I think Google is liable for potential problems if you don't use privacy policy.

And, I read an article from the adsense blog about images next to ads. In the examples the images were always aligned with the individual ads in a side by side fashion.

I don't get "one of our adsense accounts..."

You are only allowed one, and perhaps a business account.
      Emphasis on "perhaps."

None of those things listed will get a ban.

Many people leave off the privacy policy. Google knows
that. That's not bad. It's an oversight. That's why
google, MS, et. al. have all gone to placing a privacy policy
on the ads. That's what the link, Ad Choices is. Built in
      privacy policy.

Putting adsense on all pages, including login, FAQ, privacy, is
common. It's no big deal. It's smart web designing, actually.
Ever use a service online like cooltext.com? They put adsense
on the output page. No content. Those are examples of what
google is NOT talking about when they talk about non content
pages. They are talking about pages having no value other than
a slap of adsense ads. This could be any page, actually.

Images are also okay. What you cannot do is align them with
ads, making it look as if the images and ads go together as
a unit. Everyone uses header images, pics, graphics, photos,
      even videos.

Look again. There is a plethora of google adsense TOS that people
just ignore, don't read, or just plain don't believe.

Mundane rule breakage is not going to get you banned.

      Serious violations do.

We know nothing about the content, spam, spam comments, links,
click fraud, fraudulent traffic, not following google webmaster
guidelines, etc. Following all google webmaster guidelines is
      actually a TOS of adsense.

I see this a LOT. Won't it get you banned? I started using XSitePro and I had the 160x600 in the right sidebar but removed it from all pages because I can't easily remove it from the about, privacy, and contact pages.

They only want the ads displayed on pages with content, but I see it a lot.

If you own many companies you can have many accounts

I just find it weird that Google doesnt at least warn you or even when they bann you, at least explain why...but hey thats "the G"...

The TOS could be interperted in many ways...but oh well i guess we will never know...
