$24.68 in 4-months.. WOW! I've made $50 more than that, but it's taken since 2004.

    You're on a roll.

Seriously, that's not too bad. Of course if you're devoting all your time to it then it's bad.

But find out how (specifically) you made that money and then repeat the process even more. Double it, then triple it, and so on.

Looking at your site, it seems the Adsense ads are right at the bottom, not exactly prime location. Your site also scrolls down quite a bit, so the people that do not make it to the end wont see them.

You've targeted the IM/Make Money niche, not a stinker for Adsense but not one of the best either. If you're looking for a full time income from Adsense alone, you'll need to (a) develop more sites and (b) pick higher paying Adsense niches.

Hope this helps, if you'd like some more thorough help with Adsense PM me.

Don't get discouraged. You'll be there... Just read posts from this forum and I believe you'll have better idea how to take you AdSense business to the next level...

Remember you might get nowhere with the same mindset as before. I said AdSense business - yes, you are actually starting a business aimed high to at least make a living, not a hobby only. That means, as with any other business, it's hard work and set your schedule to write contents, build links, etc.. Before we ask for more money we may ask ourself how much and how aften have I contributed? Don't believe into online money making ads, there are no easy money to make except hard work.

Anyways, to most us I guess, IM is a dream job. You work on your own pace and set your own goal, and you may work on anywhere, be it Paris or beach, but we have to be self starters doing a serious business.

Ok here is what you do:

Create a niche site and get targeted keywords with less competition(several of them) then search for a adsense template that converts well.

              Start a linking campaign:

              Do social bookmarking
              Create a squidoo lens
              Create a hub page
              Submit to Digg
              Submit to propeller.com
Look for more sites similar to the sites above(niche sites) and do what is required
Create a blog on wordpress relating to your site
Create a blog on blogger relating to your site
Submit articles to the major article directory sites
Look for related blogs without the nofollow tag and make useful comments on
Look for related sites to swap links with

Do this EVERY day and you will see your adsense income increase every day, do this with 4 new sites and you will be happy with the results in about 3 months..

              Dennis

If you really want to make a bunch of money with adsense I think you will have to invest more into studying how others make money with adsense.

I would also reccomend purchasing more then 1 adsense sites.

IF you have 1 adsense site that earns you $5 per day, you just need 10 to make $50 a day.

Try to advertise and promote your website through various marketing techniques such as article marketing. Though there are many disputes to the success of it, it would help your website nonetheless.

Be versatile. Earning by adsense through one website is not going to make plenty. So diversify your portfolio. And create more websites.

But of course, this means you must work harder.

            To your success !!!

OR... invest the same amount of work, money & effort into 1 bigger better site and make $50/day or more off it. Contrary to popular opinion, you DON'T need to have 10, 100 or even 1000 sites each making $1-5/day to make good money from adsense.

Instead, by investing more into 1 big high quality authority site with lots of great unique content, you can make as much, if not more than owning heaps of little sites.

I have 2 SEO clients whom I have set up adsense for, who both have reached peak earnings of US$2,000.00/month in Adsense income. Show me 1 adsense site owner who has to spread his/her time, effort and money across 100 sites who makes that kind of income from 1 site! I doubt you could find 1...

Think big about 1 site - don't dilute your power & effectiveness across 10s or 100s of sites. In the long run, you'll get a much better result.

I agree with "ezza17". This is the same strategy I employ with.

I take one site at a time (using Wordpress, Joomla or Drupal) based on a specific niche and theme. Concentrate on it for about a month posting as much original contents I can make, link it to my "googled sites" and in a month or 2, pageviews starts coming in. From time to time, I post new content to the site and it survives.

There are sites that are flop. There are those that fly (earns Adsense clicks). Then I expand those themes/niche that fly by making related sites (new domain) and build up there again. I dont link them together as it will look like a "farm or something". It only links to 1 or 2 main sites of mine as resource links.

It is important to note that traffic is everything. Without real traffic, there will be no clicks. Almost 98% of my sites' traffic is coming from Google and other search engines, meaning I succeeded in targeting certain keywords that is relevant to my sites. I found that Wordpress, Joomla and Drupal have good basic SEO built in so I am all for them.

I am not sure if this will help but I am tempted to put up what I know given that I also benefited from others in this forum before.

Hope that, at my first post, this helps.

            Bangis

PS. I almost forgot, I am making a mininum now of $100 per month (highest at $160 in November) or about $3 per day from 3 sites that fly and several sites that flop (but has some clicks still) after about 14 months. I am hoping to increase this to $100 per day with some new projects I have (and if time permits as I am currently doing this as a hobby).

BTW - Isn't scraped content scary Bruce from adsense ban standpoint?

I earn about $40 a day from Adsense, but that's all I've focussed on building for the past 6 months. A hint--the kind of niches I target are very diverse--every page is like a completely different topic with completely different searchable keywords, so I'm getting targeted traffic from a lot of different niches. So let's say you have an encyclopedia site and you have adsense on each and every page, and you're getting searched traffic to each of those pages with totally different topics--the money starts to add up. I don't really have any SEO expertise, I just did keyword research and targeted a lot of low competition keyword phrases--different ones on every page. And I made lots of pages. Probably 300 or 400 pages if you count up all my sites.

But it's nice. Now I don't have to do much of anything and I get that $40 a day.

Your CTR is incredibly low, probably due to your ads positioning and the fact they jump out the page screaming "I'm an ad don't click me"!

Get them to blend in more and make sure they are above the fold.

Lastly like a couple of guys said remove your stats from this thread, pronto.

You need to think outside the box here.

Think of items and services that cost a lot.
    ie
    electronic goods
    health
professional industries, ie, lawyers, eye surgeons, etc

Run a keyword list via google suggestion tool.
find one keyword, enter it into google, then find the top 10 ranking websites, then one by one enter that url into the google suggestion tool.

Get a list of keywords found, export it to csv. and keep doing this until you done all the sites.
Then run a keyword list for all the broad terms.

Find phrases that google suggests $30 or more per click.
Then dig wider to find more related phrases and keep building your pages based on those phrases. the wider you go, the more gems you'll find.

Optimize the monkies out of it, and that $26 or so you made will be made in less than a week.

A good niche is forex, i get heaps of $1 - 2 clicks every day.

    HI

Right now I am making $10-$20 a day from adsense.... over many sites... and.. what I have learned is you just need to build more sites on many topics.. but you need to research the topic and try and get the topic keyword.. in your domain.. and make it a .com

Then write unique articles and post them on your sites... and a week later submit those articles to more article directories and put affiliate links on your sites to and from that income you buy Yahoo and google adwords campaigns..

Also submit your site to link directories .. for back links..

    Thx

Adsense earning are dependant on 2 very obvious factors :

    1. Click Thru Rate (CTR), and
    2. The amount of traffic you get

So if you want to make more money, increase either one or both of the above.

On your website, I would suggest getting rid of the skyscraper adsense down the side on the front page, and put in a 350 x 300 box at the top of your site.

If people have to scroll to see your ads, they are NOT going to click on them..

By moving your ads above the fold, (ie above the bottom of the screen) will increase your CTR by a HUGE amount! It could, quite literally double your CTR rate!! No kidding, it did for me!

On 3 of my best performing adsense sites, 2 of them have CTR of greater than 25% and the other does 10-15% on a regular basis..

Of course these sites make me money!!

Move the ads around and things should go better for you, PLUS get more traffic

    Hope this helps

Never put all your eggs in one basket. Have your adsense, but also offer affiliate links on your site to try to balance the low returns from adsense.

I ran adsense on my site that has twenty thousand visitors per month. When I started adsense, traffic was only ten thousand, just to be honest.

I followed the advice offered by a friend and changed my adsense to run the standard formatting with blue links, black text, etc. That one change moved me from $7 per month in adsense revenue to $50 per month adsense.

Then my friend recommended me to change the placement of adsense on my pages. That change boosted me from $50 per month to $200 per month.

These days, I am still not getting rich with adsense, but I do get up to $350 in some months.

I am no Adsense expert but I will share from my experience. I have one site that earns between $2000 and $2500 a month in Adsense income and about twice that in affiliate income. Then I have some 10 sites that don't bring in $200 month together. What is the difference?

One, for the site making money I chose a niche that gets a lot of searches and high value clicks. Two, I dedicated a lot of time to developing the one site with original content (not all written by me) and optimizing that content (about 500 pages now). Three, I spent more time promoting this site, especially through article marketing and link exchanges. I have only written two press releases and bookmarked only a few pages. I also have about 5 Squidoo lenses that link to the site. I spend about $40 a month on Adwords. Most traffic is organic. Four, I use the 336X280 ad size above the fold and another at the bottom of each page.

Don't get the idea that I spend 60+ hours a week on the site. Actually, I spend an average of 4-5 hours a week on it.

The other sites have between 5 and 30 pages each. I add new content sporadicly. I do very little to promote them.

Based on this my suggestions are: Continually add original content that is relevant to your niche. Optimize each page for the search engines. Write and submit articles regularly. Get a lot of incoming links (there are a lot of ways to do that besides just link exchanges). Move your ads up above the fold.

    Hope this helps.
