adsense image vs text ads

The highest clicks I ever got was 7 using text. I switched to all images and now get 25-30 clicks. The problem though is the cpc is .09 to .13 cents for images. From what I understand text ads pay more but I've tried every placement and had no luck with it. What would you do personally? The site is betafootage.com

Since it's a video game website it's no surprise images are getting more clicks.

I would just make it text and image and see what happens, I would also write a strategy guide for quick leveling or other tips for newbies since you're a beta tester. Sell the guide for $20 or so once the game has been released.

Thats a good idea but not sure I would have enough content to write something like that.

Hmmmm I don't have that much traffic so my test might be a little flawed but I actually get more clicks with text ads than I do with image ads. But again that might be because my audience is people looking for info on random niche topics of sellable products.

I'd say test it for a week and see if there is a noticeable difference. If you think your traffic is too low, then leave it as text/image while it grows then run the experiment.

contextual ads pay more. However it depends on the visitor if what country it came from. Like me, my target audience were USA so each click I am getting at least $1+. And if you look at your report, adsense contextual ads are the leading rates.
