here are the details:

i just launched my site. i haven't been indexed by google yet but have been getting some visitors from MSN search and have already been getting a couple of opt ins and even a couple of sales (nice!)

so i figured once i launched a PPC campaign i'd be rolling but... well, things are not going according to planned.

i created 4 tightly knit adgroups, created several ad variations which includes the keyword for each, and created 4 landing pages optimized for each adgroup (but still written for humans) and no one is clicking on my friggin ads. WTF?

any help or advice would be SO appreciated. thanks in advance.

One thing you could do is try to make your ads more enticing. Think about it this way, if you're searching for whatever keyword you're targeting, and you see all these organic search engine results and all these ads on the side, what would make you click a particular ad?

Another thing you could try is to raise your bid so that you show up higher on the ads, as the ads in the 2nd or 3rd spot tend to get the most attention.

With that said, however, you need to keep in mind that you want people that will click AND buy, not people that will just click. Even if you had 100% click through rate on those 4350 impressions, you would have wasted A LOT of money if none of them decide to buy. But, if of those 10 that clicked, all 10 bought, then you're much better off. So be sure that you're targeting buyers and getting them to click, and not just getting every joe schmoe and their mother to click.

Are you running G ads or affiliate links? You may also resaerch the quality of your traffic and track where are vistors coming from. Also play with the ad layouts, settle down for a couple of weeks and compare the results.

Anyway, if you got traffics that's good news. The next step is just do more tracking and research. Good luck and I believe you'll be there...

          Hi tonynova,

The nice thing is you only pay when they click.
          Adarwish's advice was spot on.

You need to start thinking about impressions in the
millions and you will get clicks in the hundreds.

To do that you are going to need to do more
keyword research. Try to find or figure out
thousands of relevant keywords, create hundreds of
ad groups and thousands of ad text variations.

If you do this well, you will not only get more clicks,
you lower your CPC and cost per conversion.

          Happy Hunting,

You need to change your ads if you want to improve your CPC and with regards to the number of impressions you need to find a keyword that gets thousands of searches a day if you want to receive a meaningful amount of traffic.

    Hi,
Concentrate on making your keywords much more targeted & use exact, negatives to avoid irrelevant clicks, & this should help quality clicks come thorugh for better conversions.

Also better ads for those keywords, vary these too.
