Hi, after reading various threads about MNF that they use an combination of the following to calculate SOC:

inanchor:"keyword" intitle:"keyword" inurl:"keyword"

This as a search in Google obviously produces a different number than what is shown on MNF, does anyone know what MNF do to the number in Google to arrive at their final figure?

If not does anyone know this then what would be a good level to guage competition using just the Google search?

Micro Niche Finder is a great tool, but the SOC numbers are not an accurate to assess your competition.

Find a tool that allows you to analyze the top 10 rankings for your keywords, PR, Backlinks, Domain age, title, h1, and description tags.

That's the best way to determine a keyword's competition.
