Backlink yourself vs SEO Service

Hi guys.

I'm not a huge fan of backlinking, I understand most of the tried and tested methods, and have done them myself. What puts me off it.

a) Very time consuming
b) Not even sure if my links are sticking

Now I don't mind paying for a good SEO service, I'm done with the likes of fiverr, as I see it as pretty useless when it comes to backlinking gigs.

There's a couple of warriors for hire on here, and they've got some pretty decent feedback, for $25 - $99.

This seems less hassle, and if it works, why not?

I have read on numerous occasions however, that some warriors prefer to build their own links... is this to save money, or just to be more in control of where their links are coming from?

I have recently hired a warrior to do some backlinking for me. I will report back.

I've been doing a TON of backlinking myself for about a year and have jumped from #8 alllllll the way up to #7. Very time-consuming and I'm seeing very few results.

I don't much care who is in control of my links, as long as they are worth something and in a good neighborhood. I just am sick of being where I am. I want to control the world ---- uh, I mean, be at least #3 for my chosen phrase.

Do it yourself. It's not as time consuming as you think.
First get a VPS and install AMR, SEnukeX and Scrapebox
And the speed will be unbelievable.

If you can do it yourself, definitely do it yourself. Clearly I do a lot of my own backlinking, but even still, I do use some services as well for specific features or links that I don't like to do myself or don't have the right tools for.

I provide a linking service (it's still pretty new) but it does include a lot of various links from a diverse set of IPs.

But in all honesty, if you can do it yourself, do it yourself. If you don't have the tools/money for tools/time/knowledge, then pay someone to do it who knows what they're doing.

Im still confused on the profile links, SEnukeX and Scrapebox scene as i was always led to believe the links were so low quality they were useless

For example, Google seeing the same comment on multiple blogs and ignoring them

My first site i started back in 2007 and still makes $1000 per month and i never used a profile link, edu or anything like that. All my links involve unique articles on peoples blogs with a link

Maybe its just me but always thought those kinda of links were best

      Works for me anyway lol

I personally wouldn't bother too much with a lot of the warriors for hire stuff. Many of those are just spammy links. Now, if you have a low competition keyword and are not too worried about reaching number one, those services will work for you.

If you want to take advantage of services on here and elsewhere, I would look for the high PR home page backlinks you can subscribe to. Those are probably your best bang for the buck.

If it is a highly competitive niche, you might want to consider retaining an SEO professional to work with you on a monthly basis.

google and bing are looking more and more to social media sites like twitter and facebook to help rank websites. if a someone post a link on twitter saying this site is awesome, that is much more valuable for ur search engine ranks then posting 100 of the same backlinks.

and if u havent heard about googles new update (panda) maybe check it out. a little social media marketing may be a better path for backlinking.

youtube is crazy awesome for backlinks too

To backlink properly takes considerable time, effort and money if you're going after competitive keywords, you're better off taking advantage of labor arbitrage and outsourcing it so you can focus on selling your products/services.

If you get a good outsourcer the seo tasks will be cheaper and you will still have control.
