Changing the niche of my website, what is required?

Up to now, my website was based around tech news, business and money making schemes. I'm planning to focus on one niche now since I want to promote CPA offers from my website (and I already have pretty good traffic). I want to change the website to purely business and money making schemes. The website is Future Pocket and I think the name itself suits it pretty well. Couple of questions though:

1) Would I have to delete all my old posts not related to money making?
-- I ask this because Google has indexed all the posts on my website and obviously picked up keywords not related to money making. So, would I have to delete those other posts and just post about money making techniques (and tips)?

2) Will Google eventually pick up the change of niche and thus keywords related to the website?

3) What would be the best way to go about this in your opinion?

    You have a couple of choices here.

    1. You can delete all of the pages that will not be any part of the new site, and eventually they will drop out of Google. After you set up the new site, make sure that you create a new sitemap and it will be like a new site on an old domain name.

    2. You can leave the pages that are there and just let them be. I would make sure that you have ads for the rest of your site and what all your site now contains. I would also make sure that you mark somewhere on the site that the content is changing so that you are letting your readers know. Add some ad space on there for the money making schemes that you are talking about and maybe you will get carry over traffic, hopefully if they go from there to your new site content then you may make a few sales.

    Don't delete any old posts since they may be bringing indirect traffic to you but just focus on the new posts you'll have up and have them more directed towards your new niche.

    This is my plan, please tell me if it would be successful:

    1) Remove all categories and create new ones
    2) Put all current posts not related to money making in an archived category (that's not listed on the website) but just so I don't have a bunch of broken links on the website.
    3) Create new categories and put current money making posts in those (organized) and write original posts daily on different ways of making money (and obviously advertise some of my CPA campaigns within these posts as well as through advertisements on the side).
    4) Create new Facebook group with website name and change description of current fan page.
    5) Resubmit website to blog directories with a new category

    What do you think?

    To be honest, I have change directions of websites quite often. Sometimes it has to be done! lol

    I never delet old posts or articles for the simple reason I am getting traffic from them. If some one visites teh site because of a search on Google or where ever they can still read the original article or post and this does help some what.

    As for the change in direction, I normally write a bunch of new content aimed at my new key words that are SEO friendely and for each article I produce a rocket booster. This will normally help get most search engines pointing in the right direction.

    Content is good even sometimes when it is not related to your nitch. As time goes on you will find that you rank higher and higher for your new key words. Just make sure you have good original articles aimed at your key words!

    do not delete any content from your site - this is a big no-no. leave it be, group it into one place on site, let your readers know about the change, keep track of how your old posts are doing (what if they keep bringing you traffic - then you may want to come back to that niche) and focus all your energy on the new niche (I am assuming you are 100% positive about the change and have tested out the new niche from A-Z to make sure it has profit potential)

    Yup, I'm pretty certain about it just because I know a lot that I'd like to share with people so it would be completely original and genuine content. At the moment, I was outsourcing articles from other sources and just rewriting them for my writers. My traffic did go up but it's not rising as substantially as I would like plus the name of the website goes along pretty well with my new niche and I've got some other good ideas for the website that I will launch in the next few months to make it even more unique.
