AMR - Results, anchor text and categories

I have a few questions about AMR. Thanks in advance for your help.
1. After you submit an article to AMR, how long does it usually take to see your site move up the SERPs?
I've heard some people say they've seen their site move up in as little as 48 hrs. Is this only for low competition keywords?
I've submitted articles over a month ago, but im not seeing SERP's movement or backlinks indexed. At this point im thinking of buying an indexing service as ive already used Bulkping to create RSS feeds and submit to RSS directories, but it hasn't had any effect so far, they still aren't getting indexed.
2. People say that you should vary your anchor text when you make links to your sites inner pages. How many anchor text variations minimum do you need to include per link? Is 2 variations enough?
3. I read on another forum someone recommend using all the categories below to increase the chances of successful submission.
I was wondering, when an article gets manually approved will they see the entire category list or does AMR just pick a category from the list.
Because if they see the entire list, they may think that you are using some tool for submission and not submitting manually, which maybe frowned upon as many of these categories are unrelated.
Would you recommend using this list or do you recommend just including categories which the article is related to?
