A keyword with 9,900 local monthly and 22,000 global monthly searches.

What do you think my potential is if I have Adsense on the blog?

    Depends on they keyword.
    If the keyword is product-related and if it is something that people are looking to buy, then your chances of making money out of this site are pretty good.

    Things also depend on the number of advertisers that are competing for this keyword and the average cost per click.
    If the CPC is low, you will need more traffic to compensate for this.

    For example: some sites may be making $3,500 per month with only 100 monthly clicks.
    Other sites may be making $70 per month with 800 monthly clicks. Etc.

    Some keywords just pay more, so know your keyword.

    Do a research and find out how much $$$ companies are paying for your keyword, then multiply the average CPC by 0.2 and you will find out how much you will be getting per click.
    Then just multiply this by the number of expected clicks and you will have your average monthly income.

    Average Adsense CTR is between 1-2%. So lets say you get 50% of that traffic (which would be phenomenal).

    9900/2=4950*0.02=99 clicks per month per visit. CTR is of course calculated per pageview. Avg pageviews for a site is like 3. So that would make it 300 clicks.

    Avg earning per click is 20 cents. So that would be 60 dollars per month.

    These calculations are of course all rough estimates, but give you a ballpark.

    Ohh okay. Kinda confusing though..

    So, I multiply the CPC by 0.2 and then I'll know how much Google will pay me for the keyword?

    It's more like a hobby.. But can be a hobby..

    And no one is competing. IT says low competition, but I'm sure their is more factors and something I'm probably missing.

    I googled the keywords and their is NO advertisements above and to the right of the search results. None.
    So is that good, OR really bad? :/

    Make sure you are using the exact match search figures.

    What is the estimated CPC for the keyword?

    Having no ads when you do a search can be a good or a bad thing. It can either mean you've discovered a fantastic niche that little to no one has thought of advertising with, or it has no advertisers for a very good reason, ie: not worth it.

    You need to be logged in to your Google account to view the CPC figures.

    In your case (I read your PM that you sent me):

    Exact global monthly searches: 5400
    Exact Local monthly searches: 2400
    Estimated CPC: $1.27

    While those figures are OK, they're certainly not brilliant.

    You're also up against some reasonable stiff competition as the top 10 results include a lot of authority sites and they all have high PR and lots of backlinks.

    Well, if my keyword is in the domain - isn't that better and will beat competition most likely?

    AND, I still can't see CPC.. :/

    An exact match domain (EMD) is useful, but isn't as powerful as it was pre-Panda.

    I'm not saying that it will be impossible to rank on page 1, but it will take a bit of effort.

    As for seeing the CPC, click on the "Columns" drop down on the right hand side of the screen and make sure "Approximate CPC" is checked.

    Okay, thanks I found it!

    So what do you think it really good for CPC?

    1.
    If it has high monthly searches, what should the CPC be?
    2.
    If it has low monthly searches, what should the CPC be?

    Remember, I want to put Adsense Ads on my blog. I don't want to put ads on Google.com for when someone types my keyword.
