Hi Warriors,
i am trying to find a few domain names for niche blogs. I have been using the free adwords keyword tool. Now, i am only new to all this IM stuff, so i need some advice.
I want to use generic keywords as domains for these niche sites. I find that on some keywords, broad search is very high and exact match is low. But what Local monthly numbers should i be looking at with exact match and must the search competition be low if i have any chance of getting on page 1?
Hope you understand my question. It's all new to me.
Cheers!

    try above 1000,
for the math : if the searcher/ googler choose your website in search result, you will get 1000 visitor/ month = 30 visitor/ day

If you are going to have affiliate products for sale on the sites, like ClickBank or Amazon...whatever...you don't really need a lot of exact matches, what you need then are "targeted matches." Better to have a targeted niche domain with 100 exact matches than it is to have 3000 exact matches for your domain where people are not looking to buy anything....they just want info or whatever.
If going with Adsense, then it's purely a numbers game. The higher the number of visitors, the more clicks you will get. So obviously an exact match domain with really high numbers is going to serve you well. And yes, when making your list of possible domains, look for low compete names, but also look at what the top 3 websites are doing for that position. How many and what quality of backlinks and so on.

The competition doesn't necessarily have to be low. Using SEO you can rank well in keywords that say they are difficult to rank it, it all depends on how many links the site has and if they are keyword related.

Using market samurai you can do this keyword research. I just made a video on this that I will be posting on my blog and listing more information on how to do research and stuff.

You may want to take a look at a website called Niche Profit Classroom. They have a new course called Niche Profit Shortcut which sounds like it is right up your alley, and they have a 2 week trial offer for $1US. They are very good, I have been using them for over a year now and have learned a lot from them. They can really help you. I make no money if you register with them. Hope this helps.

You can first find the keyword which is not that competitive and its local searches are at least 1000/month and then register an EMD (Exact Match Domain). You will find it is not that hard to be ranked on top in Google.
