How to get my indexed site to the first page

Hello, I posted a thread earlier about my backlink issues and my thread got deleted for reasons I can't explain. Anyways, I have a website and it is 5 spots away from the first page of Google. It is not a niche site so I don't need to continously build backlinks to rank. I did write articles and comment on blogs but I'm afraid I've done it the wrong way. Ask me questions about what I'm doing and not doing in this subject so I can better understand the link building process more clearer..

Keep feeding your site with high quality, reader-oriented content.

By the way, why do you say you don't need to keep building inbound links for your site? What makes you think so?

If it's not a niche site it likely has more competition. Why would you not need to build backlinks?

Personally, that would give me MORE reason to build backlinks. How do you comment on blogs and write articles the wrong way? Not to sound negative, but please clarify why you think it was wrong.

Your way is not wrong and if you are going well without building any backlink, that is dramatic as well as fantastic. I hope if you post some good contents, you will reach in the 1st spot very very soon.

One thing I would like to suggest that,

Use the Exact Match Terms in Link Building:

If you want to rank for a specific key phrase, do build links using "exact match anchor text". For example if we wanted to rank for the keyword search SEO NEWYORK , then link back to your own site using the anchor text SEO NEW YORK. Don't go overboard, you should vary your anchor text seo create the appearance of natural link progression.

      Thanks
      Internet marketing New York
