Hi guys does anyone know or have any thoughts as to what percentage of the CPC goes to the publisher and what is kept by Google? - Or is it all a big secret?

Not a secret - it's posted on your adsense account. Maybe on the payment page (earnings). Can't remember exactly what page it's on - but it's there.

      You get 68%

AdSense for content publishers, who make up the vast majority of our AdSense publishers, earn a 68% revenue share worldwide. This means we pay 68% of the revenue that we collect from advertisers for AdSense for content ads that appear on your sites. The remaining portion that we keep reflects Google's costs for our continued investment in AdSense

Supposed to be a 60/40 split or thereabouts. But I very much doubt that every time. You never get to know how much the advertiser is charged for the click, so you never get to know what your 60% is.
