Mediawiki - how many links is too many?

If you're not familiar with mediawiki, please ignore.

If you ARE familiar with using mediawiki to post links - on a PR6 site (with all pr6 pages), how many links back to my site is too many?

I guess what I'm asking is that technically, I could edit 100s of pages on one of these sites, placing links with anchor text back to my money site.

Obviously Google is not going to count 500 links back to my site as a true 500 links.

How many links to one site do you think Google pays attention to?

Mediawiki is one of the rare phenomena where you an literally create instant high pr backlinks - just wondering if anyone can suggest a sweet spot for number of links.

For example, if I post 100 identical links on one page back to the same money site with the same anchor text, Google is probably smart enough to see that as link-spam.

But what about one link of mine on 100 pages (the same link and anchor text) on the same domain?

Again, I'm sure Google can see when someone's stuffing their link on multiple pages on a domain.

Curious to know if anyone has checked Yahoo Site Explorer or similar tool to see how many of these pages get indexed and counted?

Thanks!

I don't think there's a limit to get links from any sites, but you need to mix your backlinks and get them from different sources, only 1 site won't help you much.
