Hi fellow warriors,

Sorry if the question is a stupid one but i am a newbie to word press and have been searching for hours on the internet how to put my adsense code on my word press blog and haven't found anything useful.

Most of the stuff seems to be for an older version of word press.

I also have no clue how to use .php and plugins. I just know basic HTML code.

Is there any simple HTML code I can paste somewhere on word press?

Your help is much appreciated.

Mark

If you're going to use Wordpress, then take the time to learn how to install plugins.

Plugins are what make WP great, and they're simple to install and use. Plus, their creators usually provide you with great instructions.

Take the time to learn. It will reward you.

there are several adsense plugins try googmonify, adsense manager or just get your code from adsense and paste it into the template where you want to use it.

    All the best

I put adsense on my wordpress blog by adding a 'text widget' to the sidebar. I left the title bar blank and placed the adsense code into the box and voila... adsense code in the sidebar.

I have also placed the adsense code at the very top of my post on occasion. If you have the visual editor turned off you can just paste the code straight in at the top of the page.

I should note that it doesn't work if you switch from html to visual editor because wordpress has an annoying habit of trying to 'correct' the code which breaks it. For this reason among others I have the visual editor disabled. Of course, you can only really do this if you are fairly confident with html programming.

    Here, go download the adsense-manager

WordPress › AdSense Manager WordPress Plugins

    1) Unzip the downloaded package and upload the Adsense Manager folder into your Wordpress plugins folder

    2) Log into your WordPress admin panel

    3) Go to Plugins and "Activate" the plugin

    4) Previous installations will be updated and a notice displayed. If you have not used AdSense Manager before but have used AdSense Deluxe, you will be offered the change to import those ads.

    5) "Adsense Manager" will now be displayed in your Options section and "Ad Units" appears under Manage.

    6) Go to "Manage Ad Units" and Create "New Ad"

    7) Log in to your Google Adsense account and create your "Ad Unit", customise your colour, size etc

    8) Go back to "Manage Ad Units" and plug in all the required info

    9) Go to widget and add "blog-adsense" to the sidebar

This is more or less what you should do, play around with it and you will get the hang of thing and the adsense should show up on your blog.

I was just looking for an Adsense WP plugin.

      1) Is Adsense Manager the best adsense plugin available?

      2) Does it work with WP 2.7?

      3) If its not the best, what is the best Adsense plugin?

      4) If you just paste the Adsense code into a text box in your sidebar, then why do you even need an Adsense plugin? And if you do still need it, how come?

      Thanks everyone.

Yes, you can put Adsense on your wordpress by going to the theme editor.
Knowledge of PHP is required definitely.

Huh? Why bother with PHP when there are cool no-brainer Adsense plugins out there? At least I think there are. I just found this one that looks pretty good: http://kopy-online.de/internet/googl...idebar-widget/ Its called Adsense Anna. Has anyone used it before?

I just activated Adsense Manager a few minutes ago and had a question about it please...

I added [ad#name] to one of my posts and I can see that the text of my post isn't wrapping around the 300 x 250 Adsense block. How can I make the text wrap around it instead of the post text being below the Adsense?

There is a blank white area where the ads should be. Is that normal when adding Adsense to a new site? Does it take a while for Adsense to figure out what to put there?

      Thanks
      Steve

I think adsense deluxe is good, but I've found the easiest way to get adsense into my blogs is to simply download and install an adsense theme which has everything setup for you.
