Hi Warriors,

I've been hearing a little about 301 redirects and how they can benefit you when doing them from an aged high pr domain.

Can anyone explain how you actually set this up? Is it on the domain registrar side, or by adding some html code in the base URL of the aged domain?

Many thanks,

Sam

301 redirect is a permanent redirect, i dont actually know what is the benefit by redirecting from aged domain but i know some people cloaking by using 301 redirect to make fake PR
you can either use htaccess or set up at your cpanel

Thanks, so would someone need to buy the actual website, or would an aged non-experied domain and then redirecting through GoDaddy do the trick?

If you want to redirect your old domain to new domain and want the benefit of link juice of old domain then you have to set up this code and put them in ht-access file. This is a kind of permanent redirection.

I have a question here... once you redirected the old domain to a new domain to benefit the link juice and you manage to preserve the pagerank too... but, wouldn't you lose your PR after a while since the content of your new website is different from the Older one?

for faking PR you use doorway pages, redirect can't result PR changes instantly, but may change your PR depends on the quality of the BACKLINKS of the domain that you redirect...

If you want to ban site then you can use doorway apges as well as script to show pagerank.
301 redirect passes link juice as well after sometime your pagerank will be improved for sure

301 redirect is the most efficient and Search Engine Friendly method for webpage redirection. It's not that hard to implement and it should preserve your search engine rankings.

      Hi,

First of all you have to setup redirection code like if you want to redirect your old pages to new pages than you might be put that code given below:

      redirect 301 /old pages newpages

That type of code you need to put in your .htaccess code!

        Hi..

A 301 redirect is a method of telling web browsers and search engines that a web page or site has been permanently moved to a new location. Usually a 301 redirect includes the address to which the resource has been moved. Web browsers will typically follow 301 redirects to the new location automatically, without the need for user action.

    Thanks for the replies.

What's an .htaccess file? Is this something in my C-Panel?

Also will redirecting result in bans or Google slaps -is it black/grey hat?

And will the link juice passed over be permanent?

    Thanks,

    Sam
