Hi everyone,

If I want to write an article linking back to my website for SEO purposes, should I upload the article to only one article base site or to many?
What would bring the most benefit SEO wise?

Thanks,
Jack

Some will argue that it does not matter. But I recommend for best results that you make an honest effort to spin your articles with each submission so that they are all unique.

Not all webmasters like to publish duplicate content and if you make an effort to submit unique articles they have better chances of sticking at the very least.

Yes, don't copy and paste directly. Try to spin around using different words, meanings, grammar and etc.

I hope your other 1000 posts are better than this one...

Post the article to your site and wait for it to be indexed. Once it is indexed go ahead and post it where ever but make sure it links back to your site. That is how Google identifies the original source.

Keep in mind though, this tactic is not very strong and will have little to no effect.

True...prioritize on building high quality content in your own site first...

    Thanks for the replies.
I already have content on my site.
My question is, would I get more SEO juice from having the article only on 1 site or if it'll be in a dozen sites?

Unique articles are best. Some article directories won't accept your article if they find it is not 100% unique.

      Not true.

Almost all of the major article directories accept duplicate content as long as you are the author. If they only accept unique content (Buzzle and Hubpages), then I wouldn't waste your time.

As long as it isn't against the publisher guidelines of the sites you're submitting it to, do it to as many as possible!

If I were you, I would use them as blog posts rather than as articles.

I think you should create a blog.. Get your 10 articles published there and promote them vigorously.

Create one blog post on any social media site like Squidoo and link rest of the 10 articles to this post.

This idea worked for me, hope this works for you too!

    Jack,

If you want to get quality and sustainable traffic along with good keyword ranking I would suggest to get 7-8 quality articles written from which submit the first 5 to the top article directories like Ezine, Sooper Articles and etc. And then submit/distribute the remaining 2/3 to other directories. Doing this will save you from duplicate content posting and even top article directories which have rules of unique article submission will not be violated. This strategy so far has been proven correct and effective. Also, you can write one more article and submit it to BMR, though it is a paid option but it's very effective.
