Does the Google Panda Team Troll the WF?

Sometimes I wonder if the Google Panda team has a group dedicated to learning all our little tricks.

Whether it's a new backlinking service, a linkwheel strategy, a spinner tool, a nifty plugin that loads extra keywords (deemed duplicate) or whatever, an article directory that funnels it's content to auto blogs, etc...

I'm finding it harder and harder to want to use ANY product and service found in the WF designed to quickly get my site to the top of Google.

Anotherwords - is the mere technique of FAST an implication that there's a little 'low quality content & trickterism' going on? Will the Panda Troll team add the latest 'technique' to their next update?

I just completed a course where I'm supposed to "Syndicate my content" by spinning articles and submitting to some blog network (for $ per month.) Not only am I not keen on the expense - I'm also worried that this strategy (written April 2011) may already be a bad strategy as far as Panda is concerned.

So - Who has an opinion?

What's STILL safe in a post Panda world?

What's definately not safe in a post Panda world?

I doubt it. They are probably more interested in private BH groups/networks where the really dark stuff is discussed.

As a member of many black hat forums, what they discuss there isn't much different from what is discussed and products sold here. People selling links to "artificially" boost your website is just as black hat as using SEnuke, which automates a lot of different processes.

To me, the main difference is black hat forums have a lot of products and things related to software, whereas here it's mostly people selling links, blogroll slots, etc.

They may visit the Warrior Forums, but implementing certain algorithms is a totally different matter. They can't implement some thing to magically catch backlinks that were bought without wrongfully catching backlinks that were made completely white-hat.

    .

    No lie, huh?

Why not just write an article, stick it on your blog, hit your "ping-o-matic" (you do ping your blog, right?) - then in a day or two stick the article on a submission site. Cost $0. Jeez I'm sorry, but spinning articles reminds me a lot of being given busy work to keep someone occupied instead of giving them something to do that actually has a useful purpose. I almost flunked out of 10th grade in high school refusing to do crap with no point but to keep me busy.

Anyhow -- I'm sure that there are some google employees that breeze through here now and again - may even be members. Whether they react to something probably depends on if that something is messing up people's satisfaction with their search results. I don't see anyone from there giving much of a rat's patoot what we do as long as we aren't diluting the value of their service.

There is no black hat, white hat, purple hat or any other "hat" when it comes to IM.

It either works or it doesn't. lol

Press release syndication for sure I presume! And you don't even need to spin 'em!

Google is 99% focused on developing it's algorithm to deliver the best sites to its users, that's all.

Which makes sense. So - anything that cuts corners - or any place that supports cutting corners - is surely on their troll list.

      a) Yes I do 'ping' my own blogs - although this course I just completed didn't mention that strategy.

      b) The only 'traffic' strategy was the back-end up-sell to the pricey syndication software where you spin, spin, spin your way to multiple backlinks.

Interesting point and thanks for not beating around the bush!

So b-hat links are safe until or unless they can be distinguished from white-hat?

Would you say a syndicate of blogs with spun content in the manner described above = creating multiple back-links (40-50) every month would be 'caught out' in Google's eyes?

If you are writing articles and 'press-releases' with keywords and anchors designed to get traffic to a pre-sales letter for a 'clickbank product' or similar - how likely is a press release service to syndicate such content.

Anotherwords - I've created my pre-selling blog with multiple pages focused on my primary keyword phrases. I need 300+ backlinks on the secondary pages to beat the competition. What's the safest way to get them?

Thanks by the way for everyone's input . . . so far

I wouldn't doubt that Google has a team of personnel to monitor webmaster forums. Maybe not participate, but just to see what the communities are talking about and to gather feedback.

That said, I found it spectacularly troll-like that Google's Panda update hit mere weeks (maybe a month?) after DemandStudios announced that they wanted to launch an IPO worth $120+ million. Talk about taking the wind out of your sails lol.

Heidi - before you go throwing around a lot of spun material, you might want to google "panda" and make sure the stuff you have "spun" isn't going to crash your rankings. Unless you are rewriting that spun crap to look like fresh and interesting information instead of just more rehash for ranking, you might find that your site isn't going to rank as well as you hoped.

Also - so what happens if people are bored with old spun content and just click off your site when they get there -- google is watching the time people spend at your place and if people are clicking off fast when they get there, that's going to hurt. And, one more time for the band --- search engines don't buy products.

If you are going to use spun content........make it excellent or it will come back to haunt you.

As far as syndication. I never paid to syndicate my blog and when I actually take time with it, it's listed as the authority blog for several of my keywords. So I'm not sure what you are paying for...syndication or content spinning software? I'd be very leery of either. Sounds like you might have taken "courses" training you specifically to buy more products.

Google is a business... There entire purpose is to show RELEVANCY of content. That being said Google is also a BOT... so just how smart is the bot? only as smart as it's program. If a spinned article is relevant and not SPAMMY then Google is all for it. It's all about the money $$$$. So what is a mathematical algorithm? It's a series of Database sorts and Filters whose interest is RELEVANCY. Unfortunately it will be a very, very long time before the BOT can emotionally read articles, therefore it spiders articles for Key-words and looks at their placement, % of use, and whose is saying it... the PR Rank authority.
