what is the difference between link Crawling and link Indexing services?

I have 5 questions..

1) what is the difference between link crawling and indexing

2) As far as I know link indexing services are actually creating backlinks to my backlinks. Is that correct?

3) which link indexing service is good?

4) should I use any paid link indexing service or I can do it myself without spending money?

5) If I can do it then how?

    Link crawling is the the bot of the google came and registered the content of your website with in its data base. While link indexing is that goolgle grants a ranking to your website to appear in the top 1000 SERP'S of google....

      Your definition of indexing is not accurate as a page doesn't have to rank for any keyword to be indexed.

      Crawling just means google bot reached that url and read it's content and supposedly included it in a non-public index.

      Indexing is including the page in the public index and is a next step after crawling and you can check which pages are indexed for a specific domain by typing site:domain.com in google and for a specific url you type inurl:domain.com/url.html or whatever your target url is.

    Link indexing is the inclusion of your link/webpage/url into the search engines index/database. Whereas link crawling is meant to identify the updates and changes made to the existing pages in the search engine index... i.e if you had made any changes to your webpage after getting indexed... the search engines has to make sure that those changes are identified by them thus helping them improving your websites performance in the search engines.
