Looks like Google is testing new ad formats to make the paid adword links look more like the natural search results.

Interesting share! Thanks for this, it appears that Google's doing a lot more active A/B testing with a ton of diffferent styles of layouts and formats for the SERPs/Adwords/homepage.

Wonder how this will affect CTR for Adsense ads...

I agree. I would think that it would improve the click through rate but only time will tell.

Google is always doing A/B testing of the ads as well as the organics. Many of these tests go un-noticed. For some reason, people always talk about the testing of ads, not the organics, surprising since most here are SEO advocates more than PPC.

As for how this will affect Adsense, probably not for the time being, unless you notice similar changes on Adsense sites. What I suspect is that within a year or two, publishers will have more options and controls on how to show ads on their sites. So if a publisher wants to show text ads with the first line tacked on next to the title, they will be able to.

Not a huge fan, and I agree with the last part of the post.

Not anything mind-blowing! Just another step towards Google potentially integrating paid ads and natural results to the point where they are truly indistinguishable. I don't think I like that idea.
Me either. It's already hard enough. But, what can you do? Google is King.

    That is sneaky!

Why would I need to see a cached page of an Adwords page, lol?
