I'd like to note that wikipedia is nofollow everywhere.

Skeptics and believers out there will argue on and on about whether nofollow has any link juice or not, but that is for you to determine.

Also, it's pretty hard to get a link to stay on Wikipedia unless it's pointing to a page that is highly relevant to the wiki.

Please let him know how you get link from wiki. Thanks in advance

That's good news, everyone here is saying it's impossible. But how did you do it? did you insert directly in the articles? please just tell me how and where you insert the html code for the hyperlink

Not true. The site I'm talking about is a PR0, and the links have held for a few months now. Not sure if I'm getting any link juice or not, but the direct traffic is pretty good so I'm not complaining.

Also, don't get impatient.

SEO is not an overnight thing. You'll be working at it every single day in order to keep up, especially with the competitive niches.

Also be prepared to be torn apart emotionally from time to time as you experience changes in ranking.

Diversify your income and traffic strategies, don't just rely on SEO to bring in traffic.

Keyword prominence/importance is more important than density if you are targeting Google.

The two most time consuming/expensive parts of building and promoting a site are:
- Content creation (eg. article writing)
- Keyword/competition research

Always measure the strength of your own website against the strength of the top 10 competitors for that keyword. The bigger the gap, the more time and money it will take to outrank them.

For your first site always target a low competition keyword, just so you can get used to what works best and see your results more quickly. After you are getting good rankings/traffic with your 'easy' site, then move on to your next site

Digg.com

Of course you may already know Digg is a powerful social networking site but who has time to go there every single time they make a new post. Or what if you run dozens of autoblogs, it would be a real pain to submit every new article everyday wouldn't it?

Go to the account settings in Digg and click on 'Import Feeds'

Add all of the RSS feeds to all of your blogs - you'll need to verify that you are the owner but this is really easy. Digg will give you a unique code to put in your next blog post so that it can read it off of your RSS feed. Once you have done that click verify and you are on your way to automatic backlinks.

Ping.fm


This method will take about 2-3 hours to setup but it is worth it more than you'll ever realize. If you want automatic backlinks to your new posts you really need to setup Ping.fm for some serious autoback linking power.

First create an account on Ping.fm - after you create an account you will see there are about 50 social networking sites that Ping.fm connects to. You can import your RSS feed into Ping.fm and then everytime your blog posts something new Ping.fm will post that link to every social networking site that you setup within.

Even the simplest of tasks can be too time consuming when you need to focus on editing your pages. For example, finding your current rank, if any, in all of the major engines for all of the keywords you want to rank could take a day on your own.

Competition Research:

*Who is in the positions where you want to be?

Examine your competition's pages with a microscope.

Focus on trends, keywords, densities, titles, page elements... their pages, structures and their links.


Off Page or Link Reports:

As soon as you start learning about search engine optimization, you'll understand what a key role good quality links play in determining rank.

These types of analysis will show who is linking to you, or even better, who is linking to a ranking competitor. You can get some ideas of sites to list with and an approximate number of links of a particular quality that you'll need to rank.


On Page Optimization:

A report like this analyzes the words in the elements on your page like titles and boldface or headings as well as your body copy, and link text. It also tells you information about keyword density.

An analysis like this will show how many times each word, word pairs and groups of words were used on a page and what percentage of all the words they are.
