If i pay someone from fiverr to increase the number of Likes on my blog posts, is there a risk that they would use a bot?

As far as I know, I thought bots were used sometimes to increase Likes on Facebook pages, but this is the Like and Tweet buttons on a WordPress blog posts.

Would they be able to use a bot for this?

I don't want to do something that might cause Google to give the blog a penalty

There probably is a bot out there for this. A good rule of thumb is, if you think Google may punish you for something, then they probably will.

I would never buy backlinks or likes or tweets or anything related to SEO from Fiverr. Plenty of stories of Google delisting after a Fiverr SEO gig was performed.

I mean, what do you expect for five bucks? I use socialkik.com for such things. They do it manually and take it slow and easy.

They do a great job and do it manually. They do it slow also so it never looks unnatural.

The fiverr prices are way cheaper than micro worker sites, suggesting they may be bots, I don't know tht facebook likes are Google's business, sounds like Facebook is your worry.

I would steer away from all such unnatural practices and focus on creating better content. What good will a bought follower/fan/liker do to your business?

Yes generally their using bots with proxies, no way someone is manually logging into 100+ accounts to like you.
