I'm having success with direct matching keyword phrases with .com's and getting fast front page results on google and bing.

There are a lot of .net's and .org's available with my keyword phrases... Do you think they will place as well as .com's?

Well i have been into SEO for few years. Even if you dont have exact match domain, you are still gonna rank if you take care of onpage and offpage seo. EMDs are BIG HYPE in IM world.

Maybe a little over-hyped, sure. But they DO give you a small boost. And every little bit helps.

even a hyphen emd .net or whatever will rank just as easily,
    heck I see
    my + emd.net
    or EMDrx.com etc etc etc
seems almost anything can rank well given the proper backlinking and SEO

    Thanks for the responses...

For all my niche sites it .com .net or .org in that order ...
Just found out the whois for .org blocks mass domain name queries... That sucks .com and .net seem to be wide open.

As far as hyphens, I do agree that they work too, but I'm trying to develop a very strict system and will only do EMD... maybe I'll try it for a few very high exact matches

I prefer .com as well. Also can't see nothing wrong with .org or .net
