If I update a youtube video will the ranking remain?

I have a video thats getting a fair number of views but I would like to update the video with a new one. will that affaect the ranking? ie will my views drop as a result?

    I was in the same situation last month and couldn't figure out what to do.

    I ended up just adding annotations to the video at the parts I wanted to update.

    I didn't see any way to update a video other than that.

    Remember that each video is one more marketing tool to generate more traffic into your site. Edit our video and upload it as a new video, adjust the title, description and tags and add an annotation from the old video to the new one. Each video will bring in its own new traffic. Each video is a little sales rep bring you traffic.

    Once a video is uploaded that is it. You can change the description, title and tags - and you can even add different music via the audioswap... but you cant change the video.

    You can delete it, then upload your new version, but you will be back at square one. Or you can just upload a "new version" and have them both. Just call it an updated version. But it will have 0 views and no rankings.
