Domain ownership: To complete our review of your website, we need to confirm that you have access to the HTML source code of the URL you've submitted or were given access to AdSense via a third-party platform.

I. If you host your own website or can edit the HTML code, please complete the following steps:

1. Access the HTML source code of w w w xxxxxxxx.c o m
2. Create a separate page on the site and paste the snippet:

why is that ? anyone else had this problem ? and what should i do ? am not very experienced so am having trouble making sense of what they said..

      if you are already using wordpress, you must know how to create new page/post.

      you don't need to mess with the code. just create a new post and paste the required snippet.

      yes, it would be visible. You can delete it later.

      Don't think much mate. I think it is final step. You are going to be approved. It took me 1 year to be approved by adsense and it was the last requirement.

    Dear you only need to create one new page and post the required code. The Google only wants to verify whether you have access to change the structure of the page or edit the page contents. An owner or the person who has full access to the control panel can only do it. It will confirm your access. That's the requirement. Good luck.

      Another option is to do it as a page. The page doesn't have to be visible to everyone. All you have to do is put the snippet on a page, but before publishing it grab a really great and FREE plugin called 'Exclude pages'.. this plugin will provide you with the option to exclude the page from you site's navigation in the page's edit screen. That way noone will ever lay eyes on the ugly snippet by Google and you, when you get really bored

      I see now that you have fixed this problem, but go ahead and grab that plugin anyway.. it's great for creating pages you don't want seen in your navigation bar!

      Take care

    Just if you want it better and in the core way, here's what you need to do:

    1. Go in notepad and create a new file.
    2. Type in the following code:
    <html>
    <body>
    <p>
    PASTE YOUR ADSENSE CONFIRMATION SNIPPET AND REPLACE THIS TEXT
    </p>
    </body>
    </html>

    3. Save the file as html, mabe, save it as "verify.html"

    4. And upload it to your root directory, ww xxxx com/verify.html

    5. Thats easy, and your files remains on the server and invisible for others!

    That's the core way..!

    Anyways,, enjoy your adsense account!

    They do this so that free "blogs" or sites don't have users that go and apply for Adsense and then get paid for the content at which point the blog owners get upset since technically they own the domains/content.
