Homepage backlinks network question

Hello all

I am setting up a number (50+) of sites to build my own backlink network (and possibly sell offer it as a service later on). The sites are all PR3+ up to PR6 , mostly on Wordpress, all different themes, different C-Class (even diff A class for that matter) spread out throughout the US, Asia, Europe and Australia, so they should do a nice job (and yes registration details are all different , even different registrars added to the mix..).

Now , I have seen some of the homepage backlink networks place your link usually within a (more or less) garbled/spun sentence which is essentially part of one HUGE post with similar sentences pointing to other client sites, and that looks sometimes 'odd' to say the least, so my question is, would I accomplish the same /better results by having a real full post for each link I want to build and place it at the beginning of the post itself so it would show in the excerpt and therefore on the home page, PLUS on its own page which eventually over time may gain its own PR thus multiplying the effect?

Thanks for any input

Marco

Indeed it would be more beneficial to create posts, especially as a selling point (with the PR of inner pages as you mentioned). Let me know if you ever offer that service.

As the home page is the most powerful page to pass link value , link from there is considered better. But it will look natural if there are a lot of outbound link from home page. But as you are going to invest good money , I would rather suggest you do what is real . You can give link from within the post where it is better. Most probably links in excerpt is not live link , pls correct me If I m wrong.

Thanks for your comment, however links in excerpt can be (and actually ARE in my network) 'live links'

Why would a link in the excerpt not be a live link? It is a link, what would make it dead? The fact that you do not know this not that big a deal though anyone with a blog should have that info. The fact that you are an seo expert and do not know how blog links works is somewhat puzzling.

OP, I set mine up all as regular blogs, I use 500 word articles put the links in the first half or so of the article and then make sure the excerpt on the first page is large enough to comfortable give the link enough content. I then backlink all the post pages using the keywords the article is targeting. You can get a lot of interior PR pages if you do it this way. One of my PR5 sites has 14 PR4 pages plus 7 additional PR3 and PR2 pages. I have been backlinking it pretty hard and hope to make a PR6 with a bunch of PR 5 pages during the next update.

Looks like you are selling links, one thing that will help is to make your articles somewhat general in nature so you can add another link later or reuse it if someone cancels.

For example suppose you get some wanting to use "Exercise bike" as their keyword. Do not use an article about exercise bikes but use an article about exercise or sports equipment instead. That way when you get an order for someone wanting a link for weight benches you can add it to the article. If you have an unused article that does not have any PR you can redirect and delete it but once it has PR you are not going to want to do that so try and make the general in nature so you can add different links, additional content if you are no longer needing that article for the original link.
