If you buy traffic from one of those paid traffic sites and you make a profit from adsense, is it considered legal or you will get banned?

I remember reading something about how it will get you banned, unless the traffic converts(a little) and is legitimate. Either way, I doubt anyone could get away with it for long.

    Organic marketing all the way!

    Cheers,

You are better off going down the organic route and using paid traffic on the affiliate marketing side of things instead.

Deans right there are a lot of affiliate programs that allow paid traffic - make sure you check if you plan to go the affiliate route.

When I first got in adsense and built my first blog, I joined trafficswarm and since I read adsense TOS that you should never use these kinds of traffic generation I stopped using it.

Better not take the risk and start building organic traffic from search engines and link building.

Paid traffic services will most likely send you low quality traffic: Proxies, unbillable countries, totally unrelated to your topic, forced visitors...that's the reason why Adsense warns about buying this kind of traffic. They may click, but they won't convert for the Adwords client advertising on your site.

So, buying traffic isn't wrong in general, but you have to ensure it's targetted quality traffic and not crap from the usual suspects.
