One great way to get a ton of traffic to your websites is to build a link wheel. These link wheels build back links to your websites main page, which gives your website higher search engine ranking.

    Thank you all.

But, still, is this tactic legal or black hat? I don't want to go into black hat, it's bad for business in long term.

    Hello,

Link Wheel is certainly not Black Hat Technique, Seo Expert comes with unique link building techs like Article Prism, Link Pyramid, Link Wheel etc.
How come it be a black hat when you posting Unique Articles on High Quality Web 2.0 Sites, Linking one site to another can't make it black hat as thousands on people do so without calling it Link Wheel. Seo Experts gave it a name Link Wheel.

If your content is fresh, you have not over used keywords, not spammed your Link Wheel URLS in 1000's of sites with some automated software it can't be Black Hat.

I use it for my personal sites and it provides me significant link juice and SERP boost.

A Link Wheel is a process that allows you to build a dozen or more 2.0 web pages, that all link to each other. These could be blogs, articles and web pages made on Hubpages, Squidoo, Ezine or Blogger that are all based on the same topic as your main website. These mini sites are all unique in terms of content, but all carry relevant data that makes it a great link back to the main website. Each of these mini sites have one link that leads to another mini site, and another one that leads to your main website.

It is Not black hat at all..It is Best when you use Unique Articles.

      Thanks.

Ok, but why can you use some Article Spinner to create content for these web 2.0 sites?

They are hardly going to rank, nobody going to find them anyway except Google, so why to spend a ton of time and energy to create quality content!?

Link wheel is an old method of link building. It is considered as a grey hat technique. You use some of the best web 2.0 properties to create a wheel full of links. Web 2.0 property usually consists of two links one of them point to next web 2.0 property and other point to money site, thus forming a wheel like structure.

Now a days, people prefer open link wheel, advance link wheel and link pyramid structure, since link wheel can be easily caught by Google.

A link wheel is greyhat like most above me said. If you do it right you can bring more traffic than you can dream of in the shortest amount of time. But try to structure it differently from a regular link wheel so it wont be picked up as easily.

Again, if it's not a black hat, why do you hide from Google!?

There is no gray hat, I mean, something only can be legal or illegal, how can something be half-legal!? Is Google going to send you note: "Please, don't do that"? No, he is going to punish you.

Is there anyone who actually really know how does Link W. works, who actually tried it? Or people here just rewrote others answers? Come on people, please, this should be the best IM place on the whole Internet.
      --------

      Seriously, anyone?

Link wheeling is a legal strategy. However, you should be very cautious in executing this tactic. You might get sandboxed and your site will be buried in the depths of the search engine results. If you are not sure of what you are doing, it's advisable that you make use of one way backlinking instead.
