Which keyword tool can do this?

I know there's a thousand keyword tools out there but I am not very familiar with them, I have a pretty simple requirement, can anyone tell me which tool will do this:

For google

List the keywords with number of monthly searchs, and also list how many pages there are with exact matching on the keyword, in other words for say the keyword dog training videos how many pages come up when "dog training videos" is typed in

I've read that a good long tail stratedy is to target keywords with say more than 1500 searchs a month with less than 50,000 competing pages, also heard numbers up to 1,000,000 is worth while as well, any input on this appreciated - thanks

I could do it manually but I want to find hundreds of keywords in multiple niches, and I also want to sort and rank them, need a tool for this, it must exist

I think the google Adwords Keyword Tool fits your need. You get a lot of relevant keyowrds for one search keyword and the basic traffic volume. As a bonus you get the worth on adwords cpc.

Narayan, you don't understand what is being asked for, the adwords tool does not show competing pages for an exact phase match

I've just tested the keyword buzz tool and it seems to do exactly what I need

        Hi kenwarrior,

There have been many tools that come and go away, that do what you are looking for. The problem is that they all violate the TOS for the use with Google. The bottom line is that Google does not permit automated query tools. When they detect them they temporarily ban your IP.

These tools fool you by returning exactly what your looking for on the first use. Unfortunately, the more you try to use them the less they work.

To be legal you must look these numbers up manually, and even then you will get banned if you do too much too quickly.

You should take a second look at the AdWords Keyword tool. This tool gives you relative competition levels for each keyword, which I'm guessing is the reason you want the data you seek.

And another thing, having a count of competing pages can provide you some insight, it isn't really that useful. You need to look at the top 10-20 competitors since any position beyond that wont be be of much value.

    Try Micro Niche Finder.
I haven't used it, but I've seen a video, and it does exactly what you want it to, and much more.
I plan on buying it, as it seems like an awesome keyword research tool.

I love Market Samurai. I just wish it would stop acting up. It's probably just my slow internet connection. I keep getting this error message:

"Market Samurai has found no suggestions from Google Keyword service. This may have occured if Google's data centers are updating, or if the adult content option in Project setting is disabled."

I love the google keyword tool but it doesn't show the number of competing sites. Market Samurai does all of this and then some. And they get their data from google.

    Guys,

thanks for all the keyword tool suggestions, I will check them out

A word of caution regarding the free keyword buzz tool, it worked great for about 1 day then google locked me out of my adwords account, it said there appeared to be some automated quires originating from my PC, at the same time the tool stopped getting the completing pages info, fortunatley I did not have any campaigns I needed to monitor and I also have a 2nd PC which was not effected, about a day later after not using keyword buzz for a about 1 day my access to adwords was restored - needless to say I will not be using this tool again, even tough it's functionality was very good.

Wow..! In my opinion keyword research can be time consuming, but it is definitely not as complicated as like sending a rocket to the moon.

Why don't you set up a $10 PPC campaign and bid low for a few days? Then you should be able to throw all the 'guess works' out of the window. Testing, testing....and testing..

I used to have a $2 campaign with Adwords last year and with 15 kws in total. I made between $500-1000 every month for nearly a year. Then other Adwords user's kw spying tool picked me up and that is...game over to my little campaign...lol

      Just my 2 cents, folks.

keyword research tools can provide good solid information on keywords that have been searched in the past, and can provide good data on more broad keyword groups, but they cannot predict how the human thinks. And, they are not able to be on top of emerging trends.

                Hi Kenwarrior,

I'm new to the adwords campaign, but I have been using a tool that gives me realtime results on any search I run in google. It only works with the Firefox browser though. Take for instance, lets say I look up the keyword "niche marketing" and for the advertisers privacy I won't name which site they are at.

This tool tells me their most profitable and unprofitable keywords, such as:

"Keyword" their postition is 6, the cpc is $0.5148, their max cpc is $1.49, their clicks per day is 106.65 and their cost per day is $54.9034

"Adwords marketing" their position is 15, the cpc is $0.9114, their max cpc is $15.19, their clicks per day is .79 and their cost per day is $0.72

Also when you click on their keyword it will show you the ad that is running on that particular keyword.

This tool will give me up to 100 of their keywords along with all the above performance ratings.
Its nice to know how your competitions keywords are performing. It also helps me to find other market areas where competition is lower.

That is the key to marketing isn't it, lower competition means lower keyword bids?

The free download only gives you 10 keywords, but the upgrade will give you 100 keywords, its the 1st link in my signature....I don't know if this is what your looking for or not, but I am using it with my google adwords campaign.

          Hi strauss,

Nonsense, these two tools from Google are quite good at just that:

          Google Trends

          Google Insights for Search#

Interesting... sorry, hadn't realised that as I don't do Adwords.
If you do use it too often in one go you have to do a screen capture so if you are going to use the Keyword Buzz it seems best just to go easy on the number of times you use it .. or use it when you are logged out of google??

I also quite like this one:
      Free GTrends Tool From Wordtracker

which gives you something similar if you click on the little graph icons
but again tends to lock out if you use it too often. it does give an indicator of what traffic you can expect if you are number one in google as well!

I've been testing some of the free keyword tools such as buzz and the free wordtracker one, I think the data for these all come from the same source as simetimes the keyword counts are identical, BUT I've noticed that the search count for many keywords is very different to that which google gives in it's keyword tool, sometimes by a factor of x10, so what do you believe?
