What works for SEO is: Content + backlinks.

You can rank #1 a site called fg34h6ds3g4fv.com as long as content + backlinks are "validated" by Google.

Depends what you mean by "work".

You won't get the same exact match domain "bonus" as if you had keyword.com, but having the keyword in the domain is still a factor in ranking, albeit a small one relative to backlinking/on-page.

As Fernando Veloso say's above "What works for SEO is: Content + backlinks". If the word cheap is relevent to your niche, website content etc Yes it could help SEO. If it is not relevent there is not much point putting in your domain anyway. It probably won't do any harm, but if it's not relevant to your content it's just going to confuse your searchers.

Oh and Google will destroy all these EMD's dreams sooner or later - and thats a fact. They are dead tired of all the spam and thin affiliate sites using EMD's, so it's a matter of time - not IF.
