SEO Help!

If I had a URL such as www.sample.com/example but depending on the user would add extra parameters to the url such as www.sample.com/example?sessionID=1 and www.sample.com/example?sessionID=2. The pages all look exactly the same. How would I tell google to ignore the copies of the page and just index www.sample.com/example? They said it's not in robot.txt file.

Anyone can help me?
