WF Recommendation - Private Advanced Seo Sub-forum

First off, before any of the characters around here post the "quit complaining" nonsense, this isn't a complaint but rather a suggestion that I think would be beneficial to a lot of us here in the forum. With that said:

I think it would be nice to have a private sub-forum for the "more advanced" seo discussions. This might include link network discussions, case studies and general topics about seo as a business.

Primarily for those of us that do live and breathe seo every day. It has been my primary business for a number of years now and I know there are other individuals here that are in the same boat.

Why this idea comes to mind....

A lot of the threads in the seo forum seem to be getting derailed lately by people that are new to seo, and while I am supportive of people learning because we all had to learn at one time or another, some of these discussions would be better if kept on topic, rather than reverting back to the "why do I need backlinks" questions and so forth.

Perhaps this could be a sub-forum of the War Room or something?

Is this a bad idea or would other members be interested in this also?

I would love to have an seo related forum in the war room.

I'm sick and tired of the spammers.

Excellent point, I meant to add that to my post as well, there has been a lot of spam lately in this particular adsense/seo forum and having a private sub-forum would eliminate most of that, if not all of it.

Money won't stop people's ignorance Beside, some of most ignorant voices in WF are guys selling SEO WSO's... so... you know where it ends.

Like a great lady once told me: even if you decorate a turd, it will be a turd anyway.

People make good money selling to the rich. But the rich got rich selling to the masses.

In theory, this is a great idea. I'm not sure how you would make it work though.

How do you determine who has access to it?

If you open it up to everyone, it eventually will have the same trash as this forum.

But what is a fair solution that doesn't exclude people who would be good additions to it?

I have no solution to that.

That is kind of why I was thinking to simply make it a sub-forum of the war room. Because most spammers or new members don't pay out the money to become a war room member right away.

Would that eliminate all of the crap that we see in this forum, no of course not, but I think it would certainly cut down on it.

I personally have never ran a forum, I don't know if you can restrict access to a thread/sub-forum by join date or number of posts, etc. If you can I guess that would be one way to go with it. I really don't know, but it would be nice to have a place to discuss some of these seo topics where they might actually stay on topic and free of spam.

I Really like this idea. You could add it onto the warrior private forum and have only people who have a certain amount of post to contribute but everyone who has paid is allowed to view it.

The problem with the seo forum is this

We have a bunch of spammers that the moderators cant keep up with.

We have the same topics keep coming up that are really basic

As soon as someone post a how to theard someone comes along and trashes and says that it will never work.

To solve this would be to

Make a moderator that is a expert in SEO for the private sub forum

have people pay to gain access to it

only have people with a certain number of posts or join date beyond a point to contribute.

Couldn't agree more...Would love to take the SEO talk to another level on WF, unfortunately its rather tough when you've got a mesh of threads asking what a title tag is, and others that are actually valuable but that get pushed down quickly.

Agree with most here, would be good to see some good topics. As you will see I am pretty new here and looking through the SEO section I certainly need to filter through as most is rubbish!!
