Autoblogging

Hi,
I am using mage autoblogging, on some sites, but I am not using Adsense!!

Is it fairly safe to buffer the autoblog content with original and spun content and use Google Analytics and webmaster tools?

Or would I just highlight the fact that there is some or alot of duplicate content?

I have yet to add original content. Will be shortly.

    Hi Wood1e,

    technically speaking, if you post duplicate content you would, at some point, get a "Google slap". It's just a matter of time.

    Some use rewriting plugins to have the content to "look" unique but from the visitor point of view it will look awful as your articles will be full of "weird" words.

    If you want to create a "quality blog" then that's not an option for you.
    If you just want to get unique visits then it could work for you.

    If i had some duplicate content mixed with original i wouldn't use AdSense anyway.
    I would only with original or rewritten-duplicate content.

      No, i am not saying that.

      I explain better what i mean. In my opinion you should first decide if:

      1) you want to build a quality blog

      2) you want to build a blog just to monetize with AdSense or affiliate programs, not bothered about "low quality" of the content.


      If you are after option 1 then yes, forget about autoblogs.
      You would either get penalized by Google if you leave the content as it is or you will have your blog full of "low quality" content due to spun content you'd get rewriting.
      You'd be wasting time and money this way.

      If you are after option 2 then you can use autoblogs with no problems. The only thing you MUST do is to rewrite the content with some plugins and you can use AdSense or whatever you want to monetize.

      So, first of all, you have to decide wich way you want to run your business and then you know if autoblogging is for you or not.

        It will be option two, using ebay click thru/aflfiate

        So I need to drive traffic...Which means obtaining higher ranking.

        This is why I thought I might end up being hammered by Google, with my auto blogging content.

        But it is interesting to see I could have adsense as well, as long as I keep content reasonably non-duplicate, ie new content and spun content

        I thought adsense and affiliate content just highlighted the fact to google and the rankings are taking away?

          No, ranking won't go away if you just have an autoblog with spun content.

          But you have to put some effort to gain a good page rank and it requires time.

            Dont try to ad google ads tey can slap you to easy. I assume you use auto blogging to create fast content, for getting traffic. try other ways for money making ,ads are good but take.them from a less nown ppc company. they dont ban for little things or maybey cpa or cpm or sell ad space, but this is al to see at how much traffic you get and what kind of traffic it is

    Most autobloggers stay away from using Googles tools (such as analytics)...

    Why invite Google in to your back door...autoblogging or not?

    If you want good stats for your sites there are other ways to get it...check out your sites Awstats or other reporting systems and plugins. Not to mention that the reliability and accuracy of analytics is questionable at best anyway.

    BTW...it would do you some good to do a bit more reasearch on what really is "duplicate content"...several here seem to have it wrong and misunderstand what duplicate content really is and what it's not.

      I didn't realise Google Analytics was unreliable?

      When I have used other stas packages that come with hosting they seem to count everyone and anyone as a unique visit!! Which is no good for man or beast!!

      What about duplicate content? What is wrong with what has been said?

      So if I don't use Google Apps (Analytics, Webmaster Tools, Adsense et al) , double check duplicate content (making sure it is not breaching copyright), and go only for organic ranking, I may be in with a chance of obtaining and then sustaining a decent ranking position?

      And from what others have said, keeping the original content up will only help. and from what I can gather, this helps Google Slapping the site before I have even got any rankings...although I realise nothing can guarantee this!

      No doubt there is more grey than 'black and white' so I think what I have written is basically what everyone is saying?
