Questions about using Ping.fm for backlinking

Hi everyone.
I came accross this backlinking strategy in an older post, I had heard something about it before but, I dont understand it to well and have a couple of questions for some expierienced Warriors,
This strategy was mentioned in this older tread,

The strategy is to use your rss feed linked to hootsuite which is linked to ping.fm which posts to all the social media accounts you have signed up within Ping.fm
1.If I have 10 niche sites do I create 10 different facebook, twitter, tumblr ect accounts via ping.fm or do I funnel all my rss feeds through my 1 ping account. or I have 10 ping.fm accounts
2. when you set up the accounts in ping.fm, ie: like facebook, do you give youre real details or create a false avatar for each account you set up
