Autoblogging - Duplicate Content - SEO

Autoblogging, Auto blogging, Slogging! Call it what you want!

Lol. Does anyone know if autoblogging can go hand in hand with SEO if done right? I'm talkin about using duplicate content and not spinning anything.

I remember about 3-4 yrs ago, I put up an ad for Steinberg Hypersonic 2 XXL and I place well on the first page of google for those keywords, but I'm sure that there wasn't much competition for those keywords. Either way, I was still indexed and I didn't really know much about SEO back then or any at all quite honestly.

Anybody having any luck with their autoblog and if their autoblog has duplicate content on it?

Would appreciate the input people!

Ace

No, you're really not: you're talking about using syndicated content without spinning it. "Duplicate content" is something completely different.

Ok. More details please. I thought that "syndicated content" is equivalent to "duplicate content". What is the difference?

This is why Alexa posted that link which you obviously didn't bother to read...

The basic difference is that syndicated content is content that is shared and posted (syndicated) across multiple websites or media outlets (newspapers, magazines, RSS feeds, article directories such as Ezine...etc etc). You may not have known this but if you post an article to Ezine you have already agreed to allow others to repost that article on their sites...in other words...syndicate it.

Duplicate content is a myth that never seems to die and is widely misunderstood. What it actually refers to is placing the same piece of content on the same site...so you post an article on your site and then later repost that same article on the same site again...duplicate content.

So you have blogs that rank highly with duplicate content on them? Are those blogs fully duplicated blogs or do they have a mixture of spun content on them?

Oh and btw, can somebody get Alexa's little spamming ass out of here. She only came here to spam her backlink and didn't really bother to contribute to this thread.

    Thanks moderators!

      Actually no she didnt...

She posted a link to a very informative article which isn't hers that helps clear up what most misunderstand to be duplicate content.

Alexa is a long time respected member here and you would do well to listen to anything she has to say on this subject!

autoblogging without spinning..? It will absolutely get banned...since it 's duplicate content..I have tried autoblogging with spinning several months ago....At the beginning my autoblog sites got lots of traffic either the money.. but when google know then my sites get banned and disappear from search result until now eventhough i've sent reconsideration request..

    My suggestion..Never try autoblogging...

Is autoblogging a violation of copyright laws? It seems kind of shady to me.

It entirely depends on how you autoblogg. The best autoblogging software scrapes content from sources that allow syndication. So it'll take articles from directories and videos from Youtube. Which is legitimate.

Autoblogging has been given a bad name because of web owners that use them to spam posts without any quality control. There is such a thing as a "quality" autoblogg. But you'd need a little manual involvement to create it.
