I would like to add Adsense to my blog but not sure where the best spot would be.

What do you think:

    Hi Stefani,

Great niche, and to answer your question would depend on a few things.

If you plan to put adsense banners then I would avoid putting those in posts -and keep them to the sidebar/header/footer.

For the adsense text links, embed them near the comments on short posts - and look to embed them a bit deeper into the long posts. Make sure it doesnt disrupt the flow or take from the opening/hook. Hope that helps.

    Cheers,
    Kris

I think a lot of companies obtain major success implementing adsense in to their website content, because it stands out a lot more as visitors are reading your information. A good example of this can be seen at the below PRLOG post

It is often times simply a right aligned HTML table. It will automatically move itself over there, you may want to hire a programmer to do this, but they shouldn't charge much because it is easy to do.

I don't think Adsense is a good fit for your blog. You aren't well focused on a particular niche and you have a lot of personal posts. While there's nothing wrong with that in general, this will cause the Adsense bot to serve up generic ads that pay less than 5 cents a click or even PSA (public service announcement) ads that don't pay at all.

I recommend that if you want to increase revenue on your blog that you look at eBay, Amazon and Commission Junction affiliate ads, particularly links and inline product listings.

I believe its best to place your adsense at the top of your blog where visitors can see it clearly

large square below title of every single post, one at the bottom, and one large skycraper at the side.

    Hi Stefani,

Solidsnake is spot on with : "large square below title of every single post"

Having one at the end of your content won't hurt either. I would not put 3 ad blocks on a page.

Quick caveat about your site. Regardless of what people say, trying it on your site and seeing what the results are is the only way of really knowing 100% if Adsense is a good fit for your site. So, TEST. See if it is a good fit for you.

    Hi Stefani,

I just came across your great post. I have several web sites that work great with AdSense. Those templates are tested/proved to be working. An example would be: Cheap Weight Loss, My Way
    (adsense, social bookmarking plug-ins, etc..)

If you need any help, just PM me.
    Good luck.

the best default place would be placing in adds in a place where they will not mix-up with the text on your blog or webpage...........either on the top or in the side of the blogs
