Press releases, outsourcing or buying software for backlinks?

Hey all,

I have got tons of original content on my 9 different sites. But I don't have enough backlinks. Now is the time to change that.

The thing is that I cannot stand doing backlinking manually and anyway, why do that when I can pay for it or automate it?

I am a bit hesitant about using a service to gain backlinks. I know I should stick to 1 or 2 methods only.

My choice is 1 or more of the following:

1. Outsourcing backlinking:

paying $50-100 a month to an outsourcer in the Philippines or India (for example) to build backlinks on blogs, on sites and on forums.

Potential disadvantage: links are of fairly low quality

2. Press release service

These services claims to be able to post high quality links back to your site. They can cost a fair bit, but does it really work? Where do you start?

3. Software

A while back I bought WebSEO for building links, but I've heard there are better tools. SENuke and other equivalent software apps are meant to be able to blast you up the rankings.

Is it worth it to use these?

Any opinions or experience you share will be a great help. Thanks!

Automated software is almost allways going to create alot of spam links for you and thye will be low quality. The someone from India you hire will probably just use software anyway and not really care about the set up so it could be worse spam. Even if they are manual it could be very ow quality and look like spam as we see all too often.

That leaves PR releases. This is a very good way to create backlinks. If you can create lots of quality PR content use a service like PR web to disseminate it. I have had lots of success with them. It is not cheap but if you can supply enough content they have an unlimited dissimenation package which would end up costing about $100 p/m.

Problem with this is you have to write the PR's which will take you time or more money. Up to you but try to stay away from automated spam and cheap guys that sound too good to be true.

I don't mind writing PRs, that's fine with me. Paying more can be justified as long as it brings more back to you.

You can recommend PR web for starting up and improving your article rankings?

Take it from someone who manages a large portfolio of his own sites. Link diversification is the key to success. This means that you can either go the route of outsourcing the link production, as you said, or do it yourself. Tools have come along way now in that you can control WHERE the links get put. I'll give you an example:

Scrapebox. Great tool. Most people would use it as a blog spammer tool..set it, forget it, and drop lots of spammy links. Not the most efficient usage of the tool at all..instead, why not use it to find high page rank blogs in your niche, and then read and leave well thought out comments that will actually stick on that site? Much more productive that way.

In regards to PR, yes, they do work is created as an actual press release and not just a web article. If newsworthy enough, it'll get picked up around the usual places and you'll receive the benefits of that, traffic and exposure.

Remember, not every tool is a spam machine, some do have their uses in selective backlink creating. Just because they can be used to spam, doesn't mean you have to.

It's good to hear that you figured out your problem....lack of backlinks....

Best of all, you realized that your time is valuable
    Here's what I recommend doing
Outsource your work to proven linkbuilding services, rather than individuals

Take a look around the forums and find yourself the top two or three services...
Give them a trial run, using either separate keywords/URLs or ideally websites

Let them prove themselves by showing what their linkbuilding can do for you
Chances are you'll find a good linkbuilding service within a few weeks with this method

    Hey,

    1. Outsourcing backlinking:
If you are willing to pay for backlinking then I'd suggest spending your money on the links themselves... i.e. high PR homepage links or in-content links.

    2. Press release service
These are great - but they are expensive, if you do it properly.

    Some PR sites I recommend:
    • I-News Wire
    • PR.com
    • 24-7 Press Release
    • Market Wire
    • Online PR News
    • PRWeb

    3. Software

SENuke is good - if you use it properly. It's a great way to build a diverse link profile so I recommend investing - or hiring a reputable company/service who use it.

    Hope that helps!

    Thanks
    Eleanor

Press release is another good way to increase traffic. As you website is service based, you can published news related to service through press release.

News Publisher is a news submission software and an online marketing tool that submits your news, press release and business information to top 100 news websites and hence boosts your business.

That is a really bad idea. Think in terms of link diversity, not link similarity.

You want a mix of links from social bookmarking, blog comments, guest blogging, web 2.0 properties, article directories, video sites, etc...

One good service is Build-My-Rank, which can get you tons of in-content links quickly from blogs.

I'm also curious about your comment about outsourcing would give you low quality links...why? If they are instructed properly their link building efforts would be just as efficient as you sitting down at the PC to generate leads. They can work on creating blog comments on a mix of high PR and low PR blogs, Web 2.0 sites, etc. They can make initial contacts for getting opportunities for guest blogging. They can even take care of the full process of using a tool like Build-My-Rank, Article Marketing Robot, or Unique Article Wizard for you.

Many virtual assistants can even create simple video to distribute to a variety of locations with backlinks for you.

Remember, in the long run diversity, quality, and quantity combined will win over just quantity alone.

I do agree with you because if you pay proper amount to the freelancers for manual link building than you can really get the quality links according to your requirements. How can you expect good quality in a little money?

    Hi,

Of course I need to put my own $0.03 in here because I have not seen the I.M. PRESS RELEASE GENERATOR™ mentioned - almost 400 warriors have made it their press release software of choice

If you decide to go the software route then you owe it to yourself to check out my WSO (see my sig below).

    Best of Luck,

    Justin
