Mods please move the thread to correct section if this is not the right place to make this post.

Hey guys,

I am looking to start my own private blog network with 100 sites for a start and then will increase gradually from there. I know few basic points to keep in mind before starting it but wanna know from you guys if I miss out on anything.

1.) I will be doing private registration for these 100 domains so that google don't see that only one guy is owning them.

2.) All these sites will be hosted on different ip's

3.) Will be using different themes for all these blogs.

Please add more points if I have missed out on any.

Thanks and waiting for your feedback and suggestions.

I assume you're looking for responses to help you make these blogs appear as seperate entities within the eyes of Google?

If that's the case then I would suggest a couple more:
Don't provide Google with any footprint by using its services on your blogs. By that I mean, don't use the same Analytics, Adsense, Webmaster Tools accounts for more than a single blog. It's too easy for Google to see the link between your sites if you do use their products.

With a tinfoil hat on I would suggest registering your domains on different days (or times of the same day) with more than one registrar.

With the tinfoil scarf on too I would suggest never logging into Google accounts while browsing your sites or at least clearing cache and cookies regularly when going between more than one site to avoid providing specific related browser behaviour between your sites.

your biggest challenge will be the backlink model.
Create linkwheels around each blog... and only connect those linkwheels on 2nd or even 3rd tier...

ugh.. that will be A LOT of work for 100 blogs

You'll need a posting solution. I would suggest a custom script that allows you to control the percentage of sites it posts to, how many days it takes to post, and the posting velocity. Have it start off slower and gradually post more as it comes to the end of the time frame.

You may also want to look into having it randomly inserting images/videos that you can upload. And don't forget spintax support.

Are these going to be high PR sites? I would only use aged domains with PR. You can get PR2 domains really cheap on godaddy auctions. Sometimes you can get lucky and find a PR3 for really cheap too. PR4+ usually have some stiff competition. I've scored a few PR3 sites for under $25.

I'm not sure that private registration will hide the owner info from google. Don't know for sure, but I read an argument that google still has access to that info.

I've considered this as a business too. Looks like it will be labor intensive. You'll have to put a lot of your time into building and maintaining it and also hire out some work as well.

Good luck, I think there is potential to make money if you do it right.

made me wonder; what exactly is your 'business model', your plan to make $$?
will this be a network around 1 product/niche or are you just looking into setting up a network to sell linkbuilding off and use it for your other sites?

Will these all be new domains? If so do you have a plan to increase their PR/authority. Most people building private networks elect to buy at least some aged domains with pagerank to start out with. 100 brand new domains won't give you much boost without authority.
