For Adsense: How many Ads should I put in the page?

Currently, I am only putting one ad (468x60) on the top right for every page of my website. Now I am considering adding one more ad at the bottom of every article at my website.

Should I do that?

If yes, what's kind of ads size should I aim for?

it depends a bit how 'far you want to go', in terms of keeping visitors sattisfied or just go for the $$ ..
The 300x250 blocks are quite popular.. put 2 of them together side by side on the top of your page.. (see for example the site in my signature)

Hmmm...I think it is a good idea.

How the bottom of the article? Should I add them or ignore them?

I've done fairly extensive testing on ad placement, and now I only use a single "Large Rectangle" ad at the top of articles and to the left.

I've tried adding "leader board" and other assorted ads to my testing site, and I've never seen results anywhere close to the rectangle. The site consistently gets high CTR, and I've never seen anywhere higher than 1% of all ad clicks for a day go to the block on the bottom/side/top.

You should do your own testing though... add the other types, run it for a few weeks, and then decide. All website visitors are not equal.

ohw.. and blend them in to the text as much as possible; choose text ads only and make it look like all the other text on your page..

For adsense, You can add text links ads unlimited.. but other ads like image ads, flash ads etc. you can add only three ads of these types on one page.

You are flat out wrong. You cannot add unlimited text links. Where on
earth did you get this info?

You are allowed 3 text/image blocks, 3 link units.

You should add all 3 units for the best of clicks on all parts of
your page. You don't have to add 3 BIG units. There are small
ones that can be tucked away quite nicely.

If your page is an adsense page, who cares if people stick around?
You want clicks and more of 'em! Give them an option when
clicking out. After all, that's the purpose of adsense, right?

I've seen somewhere, 3 is the maximum amount where google ads can be placed.
If you mixed with other ads, you probably need to minus then.

      There are many...just search.

But you don't need a plugin. You can hand code it and add it yourself,
especially for top and bottom. Middle is not hard, but you have to
really know what to look for and where.

Quick Adsense is a very good plugin, that's the one I use,it has tons of options on where to place your ads and it's easy to set up.

You can only have a maximum of three ad blocks, regardless of text or image. Now, should you add an ad block at the bottom of your article? Is your content so good that you can assured that people will scroll all the way down? Or do you have features/functions/buttons/other things on the bottom that people will assuredly go to?

If you say yes to either, then having an ad block on the bottom can be good. If there is just white space there and the content is boring, then no one will see it.

You can put 3 image or text ads and 3 ad units in each page. Total 6 ads you can show in every page. Go ahead.

I'd say 2 at the most, or 3 if you want to squeeze in that impression per view.

Too much ads can ruin your goodwill and drive your traffics away
